PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Has something negative happened with regards this today?
The reason I ask is there seems to be a new influx of ‘City will get this punishment’ or a ‘a date has been set’ all over social media.
I ain’t giving their click bait shite the click they desire to find out.
Easy and safer to ask on here, that way I get the truth.

Read a few commentaries recently suggesting it is on the verge of collapse and might not even reach the big day.

For me the ideal outcome would be the PL requesting that the process is halted as they no longer wish to have their case heard. Forget the social media clowns and instead watch the PL squirm as there is no way that could be spun into us 'getting away with it'. If their case is so flimsy that they can't get it to a hearing then that is a total victory for the club.

I'd rather this happened too. You'd of course get allegations that we paid people off, but that would be the same even if we were to be exonerated after a lengthy hearing. The sooner we can move on, the better. The PL badly needs new leadership, but if we do come out of this unscathed then we should seek good relations with any new leadership at the PL

To be fair, whether this goes the full distance or the IC conclude early due to the lack of evidence from the PL that City are cleared, the media will find angles to present us as cheats or that there was corruption. The CAS ruling was very clear that there was no evidence on the key financial charges, but the media still doubted the outcome and reported on it in this way. Let's get this thing boxed off so we can focus on the football.
 
Speculative scenario.
1. The PL’s brief asked them to clarify certain matters, but was not satisfied with their response.
2. The brief concluded that they have no chance of winning the main charges and advised them not to proceed. (PL leaked this to several”friends”, hence the rumours that @tolmie's hairdoo has heard.)
3. They decided to carry on with some of the lesser charges such as Mancini’s contract.
4. The tribunal will go ahead and they will find against us in minor matters plus “non co-operation”.
5. As the tribunal is secret, they preserve face by telling City they cannot say what happened but can comment on the outcome.
6. An avalanche of boiling piss engulfs football and the haters confirm that we got away with it by having expensive lawyers.
7. Khaldoon lets rip but, being a gentleman, is kinder to the haters than they deserve.
