CFG Expansion | Başakşehir to join? (p70)

Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere, but good news and bad news for fans of our Chinese club Sichuan Jiuniu. We won the league last year (China league one) and were promoted to Chinese Super League for the first time.

However seems as though the CFG have done an MK Dons, and moved the club from Chengdu to Shenzen (1700km away). There was a team from Shenzen last season but they were dissolved, so looks like we've decided it's a better market (probably is). The team has been renamed Shenzhen Peng City.

This wasn't the first attempt to move. Apparently, they tried to relocate last year to Hunan Province in central China but were knocked back by the Chinese FA. I presume they had an eye on Changsha, the capital, which has a population of 10 million and a team only in the third tier.

They were certainly the poor relations in Chengdu. The average home gate during the promotion season last year was below 3,000, while the local rivals pulled in around 34,000 per match in the top flight. It's sad for the small band of diehards, but Chengdu as a whole will barely notice they've gone, I reckon.

CFG have got lucky with the Shenzhen team going bust, it seems. As the only major club in a fast-growing market with Hong Kong on the doorstep, there must be potential now to develop a club that can entrench itself as one of the biggest in China.

Shenzhen Peng Sheng Yuan Electronics will be no more!

Be interesting to see whicvh manager takes over and what recruitment looks like. Tricky place to recruit.

We don't have to worry about the CFG, be questioned about the CFG, or have to justify the CFG anymore.

Watch out, Michael. Dippers United have introduced a rule trying to hobble group set ups. Also, they hack our data base, as you know from personal experience: we may now hack yours.
”We know what is said.” Check for microphones at those intimate lunches.
Forge a strategic alliance with Peter Lim and Ratboy.
Hope you fall flat on your face.

Isn't any appointment at that level pointless?
We all know there's no need for transfers or loans as all they need is home grown players as it means more to them.

Not looking good for CFG in France...Troyes fans are blaming City by the looks of it.
They can shag off with themselves.
Bought Savinho and Metinho and sent them out on loan.
Why didn't they hold on to them and maybe might not be in the situation they are now.

Fuck me one club that's been piss poor and it's all over the media slating Man City!

Sorry that football! also they'll come back up and city group will sort it out! History shows with all the other clubs we improve them! Media hang on to anything to slate city

Fxxxing idiots at that game. They might be unhappy with how the club is being run and they'd have every right to be, but throwing flares everywhere, endangering players and getting the game abandoned isn't gonna help anything.

Clearly mistakes have been made at Troyes. We have a mixed record across the group, some clubs have done really well just like we have, others have struggled but not quite to the degree as Troyes. If this is representative of the fans though they won't want to give us time to learn from those mistakes and we should probably withdraw from Troyes.
