He started so great in a way we never even dreamed of and slowly lost confidence, also got injured and lost his place in the lineup. He reminds me of Vinicius in his first season. He was an excellent dribbler and very fast, but he missed endlessly and made a lot of mistakes in the last action. I do think Vinicius is more talented than him but Dooku has huge potential. If he improves his last pass and shot, like Vincius did, he is worth a goal almost every game because he does create chances, he manages to beat his defender and get shots from close range. He has a lot of work to do but I believe it's something you can learn and improve when you play at these levels and with the best coach in the world.

Doku is already a superior passer and crosser compared to Vini. But Vini is allowed to lose the ball over and over and over until something comes off, he isn't asked to defend too much, and he's absolutely a better striker of the ball. He would have scored that chance. Doku had to score there, would have released him from this impostor syndrome that he seems to be experiencing currently. He's so talented but needs to improve mentally.
 
Should never be Alvarez over Doku on the LW.

I don't care that Alvarez is a better presser, Doku can actually play as a winger.

Grealish 1st choice, then Doku 2nd choice.

It worked for the first 15 mins. They weren’t expecting it and we got in repeatedly down that side.

Sadly, we wasted all those chances and they switched to stop that alley.

Hopefully we don’t use that again either, now!
 
coming into a team just won the treble from a farmer league club and try to replace the experienced Mahrez who was fitting Pep requirements out wide perfectly...
also to have Grealish a really nothing season with bad form and stop/start due to injuries which probably made Doku's game time overall bit more than it was supposed to be in his first season.

overall its a good season despite goals and assists really dried up for him recently.
20 apps for him is not bad in 28 rounds, and 14 of these 20 were starts actually.

in 20 PL apps he has 2 goals, 5 assists, albeit full picture is worse if you take into account that 4 of his assists came from that big Bournemouth beating at home 6-1, Doku popped up with 1 goal and 4 assists in that game.
take that away and its 1 goal, 1 assist in the other 19 games (13 starts, 6 subs). thats poor from a winger end product point of view imo. but in that Bournemouth game he was lethal, we need to see that Doku bit more often.

his other PL goal was against WHU in September and his other PL assist was against Brighton in October. nothing since then...
(one goal vs Huddersfield, but in Fa cup in 5-0 win and also great cameo vs Leipzig away from home back in October)

I think it could be argued that his best performance so far was against Liverpool at home but he didn’t have any goals or assists to his name in that match
 
I'm still excited by him and he's incredibly talented but I don't think he'll be with us long if he doesn't start applying himself defensively.

Can't really think of a worse defensive player we've signed in the Pep era. It's not even simply that he's bad at it, he just looks like he can't be arsed to track runners and help win the ball back.
 
He is still very young and his football intelligence isn't what it would be if he had played a hundred matches under Pep. Hopefully he will improve in his decision making. This should come with experience

Pep will do anything to force Alvarez into the starting XI.

Unfortunately I think that Alvarez is overplayed and he has taken some valuable minutes from other midfielder/winger candidates this season.
