How do you know it's a minority view? I think most people think the royal family are scroungers and the whole system is outdated.Fair enough, you would have a minority view over here.
For me, I don't think it really matters to the ordinary person in the UK. You are either ruled by rich hereditary people or rich, politically motivated, power hungry people. The deciding factor for me is the history of the monarchy, I find it very interesting, and I wouldn't want to be a part of bringing it to an end.
And also, the "right to bear arms" is pretty antiquated too and doesn't belong in the 21st century, all countries have these anomalies, but I doubt that will be changing soon.
That is not what every poll/survey saysHow do you know it's a minority view? I think most people think the royal family are scroungers and the whole system is outdated.
Fill yer boots with this data ...How do you know it's a minority view? I think most people think the royal family are scroungers and the whole system is outdated.
Who gives a flying fuck?
sad cunts with nothing better to do……
Interesting analogy. Some could argue why do we all worship and cheer millionaire footballers during a time of economic despair for the country ?
I haven't reinforced anything. In fact, you've completely disregarded my point about head of states being elected.unless your name is Trump or you're a Trump supporter? Again, you're reinforcing my point
Some people think that getting rid of the royal family would instantly solve all of their problems but it won't. For that you should be blaming the politicians that we elect and the political system. How do you know it's a minority view? I think most people think the royal family are scroungers and the whole system is outdated.
because you disregarded my point that someone from a country who would choose Trump has the audacity to criticise another countries head of stateI haven't reinforced anything. In fact, you've completely disregarded my point about head of states being elected.
People are free to vote for whoever they want or feel like their interest would be best served. All of our Presidents are in because they achieved an electorate based on merit and achieving support from the public, as dislikeable their views may be. It's not like the royal family, where the members have carried out heinous acts with impunity and lack any personality other than being born into a family.

I don't think the poster was criticizing the head of state, i.e Charles. He was criticizing the system that put him there.because you disregarded my point that someone from a country who would choose Trump has the audacity to criticise another countries head of state
Didn't the British elect Boris Johnson?because you disregarded my point that someone from a country who would choose Trump has the audacity to criticise another countries head of state
Thank fuck there are people in the world like you.People are free to vote for whoever they want or feel like their interest would be best served. And if Americans choose to make Trump President again, then it's on them. It's a bed they'll have made and will have to sleep in.
Yes Trump may have undesirable traits as a person, but his core principles such as prioritizing America and putting American interests first, is what appeals to the voters. Is that something to be critical of? Absolutely not.
In fairness there were at least 15 anti-monarchists outside Westminster Abbey today, shouting into their megaphones with their yellow jumpers on.How do you know it's a minority view? I think most people think the royal family are scroungers and the whole system is outdated.
