About 15 years ago something like this happened in Cornwall if I remember right. It was full of BMW cars or motorbikes.

The most striking thing about that first shot is that the impact seems to be almost bow-to-support head-on. There's a lump of concrete at the front, and one lying askew to the left of the picture.

The big hole in the ship gives an indication of where it hit.

Being wise after the event but the pillars should have had shipping protection.

They did, pointed them out on the news earlier, the are the small white circular things either side of the pillars, unfortunately the ship missed them and struck the pillar
