Same here regarding injuries. I wasn't at all worried when the draw was made, apart from usual peed off that we never get 'easy' at this stage. However injuries to Kyle and Nathan majorly concern me.

This is where City need to show we have what it takes on the European stage now. Only the winner is remembered. How you get there and what you do to get there doesn't matter. Real have 4 players on yellow cards a booking away from suspension. 3 of them are arguably key players for them. So do what it takes to get them suspended. Roll around, slow the game down, piss them off and get them booked.

We might get pelters in the press but when they rock up at the Etihad without Vinicius and Bellingham and we batter them no one will remember that game. There's more than one way to skin a cat!

Our utter demolition of them in last years semi is very much still talked about

I understand where you're coming from...

Being realistic about it, We are never going to do any of the above, We aren't the type of team to go to ground and roll around nor are we a team that intentionally goes out to get the opposition booked.

All we need to do is play our own game, Keep possession of the ball, Make the opposition work hard to try and get it back and kill them physically and mentally, Once we do that, We punish them on front of goal. That's when we are at our best.

Plus once we keep the ball like we normally do it frustrates the life out of any opposition we play, They'll then react by being aggressive in a tackle and making stupid fouls which will result in bookings.

Leave the rolling around and shithousery to Maureen.

It's why the CL is a poor indicator as to who the best team in Europe is.

European Cup format = the best team won 29% of the time

Champions League format = the best team won 50% of the time

Probably because the best teams in the CL are kept apart longer than in the EC.

Expect Pep to go as strong as possible. Can leave rotation until Luton at home on Saturday.

Likes of Rodri, KDB, Foden, Grealish, Bernardo, Stones and Haaland HAVE to start IMO.

Can’t see Pep taking too many risks in this one unless injury/illness forces his hand.

And in the CL? I’d guess harder to retain?
Only ever been retained twice and that was the three-in-a-row won by Real Madrid from 2016-2018. Quite surprising given that the competition has been around for 32 years. Make no mistake, if we win either this or the PL this season, we're undoubtedly the best this country has ever seen. I'd say we are anyway, but this dismantles any and all counter-arguments.

Not trying to be overly negative but it's the fact that we keep conceding counter attacking goals when we ahaven't got their pace to cover which concerns me the most. I'm going to assume Ancelotti has done his homework and that will be his game plan: ultra fast turnovers. I think Pep will go cautiously here to cover it with a back four who sit deeper. I'd love a 0-0 and if I'm honest I'd take a 0-1.

The flip side is we are full strength up front. They won't fancy Kev and Haaland ripping them up. We alwasy have goals in us with those two.

No way mate. He will play a weakened team with a few kids in for this one ;-)
