PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

They are cheeky bastards. The club is quite right to "push back" and respond "only to specific requests". It's a central tenet of investigations, and good practice, that requirements (or requests) should be "specific" and relevant. We haven't seen the "requests", but unless the original "request" asked specifically for the metadata there's no way it should have been volunteered.

Secondly, asking for the metadata implies a belief on the part of the PL that the material that had been provided, had been tampered with. A serious allegation to make unless you have good grounds for believing it to be the case.

As for taking two whole weeks to respond, in the context of a 4 year enquiry, that's hardly heinous and even less, so if it corresponded to a holiday period.

Tbf it’s taken city 2 fucking weeks to answer the ticket office phone whenever I’ve rung it so that doesn’t surprise me one bit.
 
How about we close this thread down and just leave a pinned one like we used to have, for factual Q&A type things only. All as this thread does is causes arguments and generates clicks for shit house papers.
 
When I am on my death bed and look back on my life following City through 35 years of fook all along with the great days post 2009 I wonder if it will bring a smile to my face.

It's obvious who runs the Premier League, because no business I know of would commit this level of corporate suicide against itself, in a desperate attempt to crush one of its major global assets in Manchester City Football Club.

No lawyer, but I think you get charged for criminal offences by the appropriate body. In civil cases one party makes a claim (hence claimant) against the other.

So the PL doesn't make charges, it claims breaches of contract when rules are broken.

And there isn't a trial, either, in the case of the PL. There is an arbitration process.

4. The IC was dismissive of the PL case on Everton showing the subjective nature of many aspects even in relation to cooperation and document disclosure.

So, I think it was interesting but hey who cares - its just a tweet. I deleted only because so many people were convinced it was about City and didn't/couldn't see the follow up that revealed it was all Everton and I couldn't be arsed explaining over and over to excited Liverpool fans who thought they had their confirmation.

I thought is was a fantastic way to make the point that anything that suggests wrong doing is automatically assumed to be about City. Even by some of our own. Well done.

Calm down. He is a City fan, that said City would get the book thrown at them. Some questioned if it was Leicester City, but you wouldn't really expect a Manchester City fan to use the term City for any other team than his own. Certainly not for Everton that don't even have it in their name. Hardly a case of 'the reader' jumping to a conclusion there.

One of the more bizarre things to post and put out, at least how it was framed.

But it WAS interesting to see the extent the comission can disagree with the PL though, which is imo the more significant point here.
