One of our best players ever but maybe his time is up now. Mentally not at it tonight. Telling.
 
I didn't think he had a terrible game. Worked hard as always, recycled the ball well. Wasn't that dangerous? Well, Real Madrid defended well. Plenty of our players weren't that dangerous.

Stupid penalty but then penalties are stupid. If the keeper had dived, no one would be complaining.

Sometimes you lose. When you don’t deserve to. A double - smashing the scum in a final - will just have to do. We’ll be back next year.

Looked like he was on the take to someone that didn’t no better - amazing player but very weird experience tonight

Agree with nearly all that. Never blame anyone who has the courage to take a penalty. However the bastard has wanted out for like 3 years so I think it’s a stretch to say he is city through and through!
 
Nothing wrong with going down the middle with a pen, but if the keeper hasn't moved an inch the split second before you take it, you'd better have a plan B.

Haven’t really seen much abuse, so I don’t really know what you’re talking about. Everyone knows the pen was shite, but it happens sometimes
 
Just wasn't quite at it tonight. Ran his arse off, fought for everything but that little bit of guile was missing. One of many to give their absolute all for several years so he is allowed to be below 100% on occasion.

Love the guy, he’s earned that penalty miss but he just feels a bit ineffective at the minute. Probably one of those where his performance levels are so high that it’s expected but still, didn’t offer much tonight.
 
I've only seen people say his penalty was shit, which it was

Thought he was our best player tonight
