Hempo...Lauren Hemp signs contract extension til 2027! Fantastic news
Nils Nielsen has made the difference - planning is everything.Absolutely elated at this news. Really get the sense that the ship has been steadied at City the past 18 months and the atmosphere around the squad has massively improved. Think this really shows that we can convince genuinely world class players that we're going to be competing at the very top.
It’s a soft salary cap and the rule is we can spend upto 40% of our yearly turnover but this includes the mens team so we’re not stuck for being able to pay big salariesHemp hadn't supposedly all but signed for Barca a few weeks ago so this is huge for the women's team. Have to start keeping their best players. Whatever they've paid to keep her, probably means concessions elsewhere though. The wage cap compared to Europe hurts the league, especially when they aren't earning retirement money and will rightly want to maximise earnings.

My feeling is that some of those that left us were the issue, and not so much GT. They've played some great football this season, and deserve to be top currently, and they would be clear, had there not been one very dodgy referee early on in the season.Really get the sense that the ship has been steadied at City the past 18 months and the atmosphere around the squad has massively improved.
Just play a false 9, rotating Hemp, Kelly and FowlerI suppose the good news of the day (Hempo!) outweighs the bad (Bunny). Great to have Lauren committing to the club for another 3 years. Not having a proper back-up for Shaw may have just cost us the title for this year but at least we have a game at the weekend that should provide the opportunity to test how alternatives work.
