As an aside, Julian Warren much better Soccer Saturday anchor than Simon Thomas. Should’ve been given gig full time (if Chapman wasn’t gonna do it).
Agree, Julian Warren has always done well with the EFL midweek equivalents too. Straightforward, all over what's happening and the occasional quip, but mostly plays it straight. Just what's required... and there's the added bonus we don't have to watch him shave using Gillette products in the ad breaks.
We shouldn't have to watch Simon's Close Shaves.

Just in time for tomorrow.
Why would anyone pay to read that dross?View attachment 116338
Pep Guardiola described his players the other night as 'supermen'. It is a slight twist on the theme that he had spent the previous few hours on the touchline resembling a hopping-mad Lex Luthor.

I get the impression this 'journalist' maybe a tad partisan?

That quote comes from another city bashing article for the daily heil

1. There’s no link.
2. To read the article you have to subscribe.
3. Which City fan would pay to read an article, even a City related article in the Daily Fail/United? Not one!
Apologies. Thank you for relaying the opinions of the Daily Heil. I have no answer to your third point.

I was listening to Talk sport in the car this morning and how the narrative has changed.

Tony Evans who struggles to put two coherent words together was talking about what a great season it will be for Liverpool if they make top four etc…..and that they are punching above their weight….(obviously a team put together with free transfers and youth team players) but never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Not a surprising take by a deluded scouser….however it was the response from the presenter about competing with a ‘state nation’ that I didn’t expect…….journalism at its finest…..not sure why my car radio defaults to Talk Sport if my phone is not plugged in…..but from now on it will be Smooth Radio.
Try BOOM radio.....tops !

as i have said in the past peter crouch has his head on one to many ceiling fans , but on a more serious note it just shows how well the press manage to drive a narrative, its very sinister in its way not just in football but in a wider context.

Yeah, not to derail the thread but the football coverage is just a reflection of how generally rancid our press has become. City bingo is just one of a myriad of examples.
