How are you getting to the Cup Final?

There was a guy in the paper a few years ago who celebrated getting his OAP bus pass by doing something like Lands End - John O’ Groats by public bus.

Think it took him about two months.
It was Berwick to Lands End , can't use your pass in Scotland. I know as I'm an FOC

Bit gutted, we have an unofficial supporters club running from the Astley in Staybridge.

There’s up to 33 of us who go to the League games but out of our lot a couple are driving, quite a lot not going and three are doing an overnighter.

Leaves just 8 of us including a child and a Senior, only vehicle we can get is an 8 seater priced at £950 with Car Park so nearly £120 each which is too much for the child and his Granddad plus the Senior.

We’ve also tried self drive but would have to collect a vehicle on Friday and return Tuesday so that would be about £800 plus fuel and car park, however there’s non available now.

Out of the 7 adults only one has a saloon car, three of us have 2 seaters (old age crisis), one has a van and one doesn’t drive.

So it looks like we’re fucked and won’t be going.
One option for you is the big green coach company, leaving and arriving back in Ashton,£48 each.We used last year, nice coach with toilet and they didn't stop anyone drinking either.

Take extra food and drink for the journey home.. That’s just for getting out of the pink car park.

You're right about being coach fit. We bump into you guys on a regular basis at the Services on the way back from home games. Coach travel to matches has become a way of life but I suppose it would come as a shock to the uninitiated. For me the only real difference for the Final is that I have get up earlier :-)
Yer right Bill have a safe journey

Train. Half 7 from piccadilly on the Saturday, back on the Monday. Just hope we're not near any arseholes but we're hoping most of them will be on the coaches *crosses fingers*

There's an episode of Auf Wiedersehn Pet where Barry is explaining to the lads he used to do tap dancing. A bemused Oz says "Why??" Barry replies "What do you mean Why?" Exasperated, Oz raising his voice repeated, "Well why why???" Over and over. That's what I feel reading about this pensioner.....why???? Lol!

I’ve booked on the chartered train from Piccadilly direct to Wembley Central and it won’t be effected by any train strikes I know it will be a dry train but should be there by noon so couple of hours drinking I know it was £130 return but it is what it is anyone else going this way?
How do you book the chartered train.

we went on that" big green bus " from ashton bus station.
never ever again.
the driver stopped just after birmingham when he said he wouldn't be stopping, at about 1 pm too.
We got there late and missed gundogans goal.

we got stuck on that pink car park,we didn't watch the presentation for fear of missing the coach,it was about 7.30pm by the time we got going.
then the new driver stopped at services as soon as we got on the motirway, and stopped again just after birmingham.
it was about 1.30 am we got home.
never again

I nearly went on that. Thank fuck I didn’t (decided to drive at the last minute) When I saw the timings I knew it would be touch and go!

What?? For that sort of wedge, I'd be expecting Ana De Armas to be serving the ham sarnies and cans of Tizer.

It's on the City website, you can book direct with the firm too. You have to put your supporter number in and have a ticket.
