FC United thread

They really are a bunch of puppets without a clue, All the morels they said they would never break and never let corporate dictate how their club is run, Where are the 5000-strong fan base now, They soon jumped ship and headed back to Big Brother, Now FCUM are finished and I don't see them lasting much longer,
Think some of them also attached themselves to Salford City when they were on the rise. Of course the media have no issue with the investment that takes an amateur team playing in orange with one concrete stand into a team in red climbing up to the football league.

Do we really know what the green and gold breakaway FCUM fans were all about ??

The Glazer had given them the biggest spending spree by any club in world football, Signed 2 of the best managers in world football and brought back Ronaldo Ole and Pogba so what was the problem ?? Glory hunters that think the league title is theirs and anybody dares take it off them,

No top-flight English football club has the right to say who owns them, it is an open market once your club is up for sale, Maybe blame the previous owners who took the money and run for the hills and never put the foundations in the first place to go forward,
Don't forget who was responsible for the Glazers buying MUFC ?
Also, if the "Yellow & Green" scarfs of defiance were so important, why do FCUM play in red & white.
They are an example of a couple of clever twats (who made a lot of money) exploiting the utter thickness of the MUFC fan base.
A modern day "Animal Farm" story in that we are all equal - but some are more equal than others ?
Unfortunately, Manchester City Council were just as gullible, getting involved in subsidising the leeches and using Moston as a dumping ground to welcome them back to Manchester...

Correct.
Went to see "The Ammies" at their old ground.
Now that was a shit hole...

That old stand at Moor Lane was something else. Saw Radcliffe play there a few times in the 80s and 90s. Stirred up the Nobby Stiles sitting on those concrete steps on a wet Tuesday night. Was better to stand up.

Just like the great rock&roll swindle with Malcolm McLaren getting people to buy into something that was not real
MCC was fooled, the lotto was fooled, Their own fans fooled, The only people that were not fooled were the local people of Moston who did not want them on Broadhurst Park,

Yes, a proper old-school ground and don't remember the pitch being up to much ?
Not been to Salford's new ground because of the recent MUFC links.
Is there any resentment from old Salford fans who have seen all this change ?

One of the old committee guys was given a room in his name to enjoy the match days...apparently can't get in it now

Mid-life Crisis FC.

We’ve all been there but didn’t need to form a football club because ‘football’s not like it used to be’.

They objected to the club they supported being burdened with a huge debt by the owners on the take, so form their own club that became burdened with a huge debt and where those elected to run it were on the take.......

They are in the Fenix Trophy.

Its for fan owned clubs and they won one game 14-0 but I suppose that reminds them of what they had in the 90s smashing and bullying smaller clubs?

How this works out financially I am not sure, I know with following Darlington just how tight finances are at the level above them.

O/T but is Will Hatfield still at Darlo?

Yes, great player. Went to Fylde but came back home to Darlo.

Was very much involved in the successful fight to stay up when Watson and Mitchell arrived as a new management team in January.
Top lad. Although when he left Guiseley he was saying he'd gone to join a bigger club etc which pissed a few off.

He was crucial in our conference days

Pinning for the days of going about places lie Norwich Orient etc where they’d be outnumbering the locals 10 to 1 and beating them up and gloating about it , the biggest bullies ever Man Utd didn’t fancy Millwall away I wonder why ..
