He comes across as a really well grounded lad. Credit to his family (particularly his mother, I'm led to believe), they've done a fantastic job bringing him up.
Fair points. However; Foden was handled very similarly. Brought into the team gradually, despite the clamour to have him playing more often at that time. And Pep was proved right. Phil is now a guaranteed starter in any big games we have, and is arguably the best English player in the PL. According to rumours (repeat, for the hard of hearing; rumours), however, Palmer was more impatient re getting regular starts for the first team. At some point (no idea what's left on his contract), Rico will have a decision to make. It would be a crying shame if he decided he wanted to leave. However, I'd trust Pep to do the right thing for the club.Well put. However, as far as his career at City goes I would think next season is crucial. He needs a few more starts in big games and begin to seriously contest for a regular start. Would hate to see him leave but he is entering into Palmer territory and may be tempted by offers of which there would be quite a few I would suggest.
He is a superb talent, he will be a big part of this side in the next few years. His versatility is his great strength but I fear it will stop him ever nailing down a place. I think his best position is actually in a more advanced midfield role but I'm not convinced we'll ever see him play there for us.

He is 19, it's incredible what he has done already, the lad is fearless and belongs at the very top of the game.I agree and sincerely hope you're right. He's too good to be a bit-part player/utility man.
I would be amazed if they were sent out on loan unless we are going full on splash the cash this summer, our squad is small already and these two will have plenty to contribute to next season and in our shirt.I don't want Rico or Oscar to be loaned. I think they have earned game time and I would rather that than sign a new player. I think both have real potential.
Agreed. Rico's getting quicker and stronger now and deserves to be tried more often, same with Bobb who has produced basically every time he's played in the last few months. We lose very little when either of them play. I credit Rico for stopping the rot in 22/23, around the time of Cancelo's meltdown, which gave Pep the time to work out that 3-2-4-1 formation that won us the treble.I don't want Rico or Oscar to be loaned.
