PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Christ, if the PL lawyers need evidence from UEFA, they must be seriously struggling.
And wasn't the whole thing at CAS that UEFA had sweet fuck all apart from the emails, so I suppose they want all the evidence that City shared so they could interrogate that in the hope of finding something, so the league is also going in with sweet fuck all apart from the emails and hoping for the best.

That Twitter DM thread is unbelievable, even considering the absolutely warped mind that we know Nick Harris is a prisoner to.

Even when apparently talking to his alter ego, he manages to show the world what a nasty **** of a so called human-being he is.

I try to rise above wishing bad things on him, but Jesus Christ, it’s testing at times.

It’s pretty clear that Harris sees the whole City case as the chance to achieve something notable in his journalistic career. That’s why he’s dedicated his life to it for over 10 years. The last chance for columns, TV appearances, books as THE authority on the MCFC scandal, that’s the prize for him, rather than any bullshit about maintaining (!) integrity within the game of football. As things stand though he’s obviously that batshit crazy that he can’t be trusted with employment, so imo he’s went to great lengths with this Magic Hat character to reach a wider audience. If that’s not the case and it genuinely is an American student, and not Harris himself, the DM’s show he won’t tolerate anyone else crashing what he sees as his gig, and his alone. Either way, that thread confirms once and for all what a downright nasty and mentally fragile person he is.

For someone who sat and read every word of this exchange.

According to Nick:

1) Nick doesn't think the emails will be enough because the PL lawyers know it won't be enough.
2) UEFA aren't giving evidence to the PL lawyers.
3) Nick knows what evidence the PL lawyers have and don't have, and is concerned they won't be able to demonstrate the main charges.
I read it through as well. How does Nick know what evidence the PL doesn't have? If Nick knows some damning evidence exists, why doesn't he tell the PL about it?

He seems a bit of a fantasist, and for a journalist, he isn't very good with his spelling.

The video shows the Magic Hat guy and Harris held online chats at 1am, 9pm, and 2:30am over various days. Harris is known to go online at these unearthly hours. If the Magic Hat guy is in America, the equivalent times in the UK are 6am, 2am and 7:30am. It is very strange that the two of them should be simultaneously online at 1am (Hat) and 6am (Harris), 9pm (Hat) and 2am (Harris), 2:30am (Hat) and 7:30am (Harris). (The second chat is not inconceivable). It is very unlikely that two people in the the same time zone are simultaneously online at 1am and 2:30am inside a period of just a few days. It is more credible that one person is the author of both conversations.

The PL leadership and their media pals have spent four years smearing and attacking us. I agree there can’t be any deal unless they are prepared to pay us for the reputational damage we have suffered.
When we are cleared I hope the club don't agree to any confidentiality clauses or conditionality.

Following years of comment, speculation, rumours, allegations, lies etc by the media and othe PL clubs, City must reserve the right of public response.

IMO, it should be in the form of a (short) factual 'cause, perpetrators & effect' statement which very clearly identifies the agitators and their objectives....ie Fear, Red Cartel, Destroy City.

Perhaps it should be written and distributed by Lord Pannick.

I am sure that the club has the ability to forensically examine online posts to determine author.

Oh I don't know if Harris is a bullshitter or not, I don't care really, but according to the chats he has relationships with the PL lawyers which seems more plausible than the mad hatter. But he's one of the more vocal critics of the club admitting that he's very worried about the outcome of what's happening right now.

I don't think either of them come out of the chat looking especially great, if it's all some grand plan then fuck knows what anyone is playing at.

And my initial thought when the mad hatter did his stuff was that he was merely going over stuff everyone already knew, putting a lot of spin and verbiage and stuff through the lens of a rival football fan, and dressing it up in expertise. I can actually see why Harris would be blunt with him in the way that he is: they're on the same side, but he's presenting old information as new, pretending Arsenal are the good guys in the whole thing (when I don't think Harris sees it that way either), and passing it off as expertise.

The dissenting member was UEFA's pick so no surprise there.
That’s my point. This time all three are PL picks, as far as I can see.

So my argument is: either we have a very strong case, trust the panel and therefore no need to settle.

OR

If we don’t trust them then it makes sense consider a settlement.

But we can’t say we don’t trust any of the PL appointed panel but won’t consider a settlement.

It’s one or the other.

Personally I trust that CAS wasn’t biased. In which case one judge thought that we did not have irrefutable evidence so there could be more of a risk than people think by going all the way.

If that makes sense!

Just an observation but if the Magic hat guy is in America wouldn't he be calling us 'Assholes' and not 'Arseholes' as in the previous tweet?

Harris sees the City FFP saga as a meal ticket. He doesn’t want anyone else taking the bread out of his mouth. He’s a starving freelance in a shrinking market.

Absolutely. What business is it of his, if someone else comes along pointing the finger at City? Then he decries his rival as an impostor, slags off City fans, and virtually demands that his rival publishes personal messages to prove they aren't the same person.
