Micah is held to a different standard.

Wayne Rooney can barely string a sentence together and people - admittedly not on here - are making out like he’s the second coming.

Gary Neville is hugely biased, as is spitting Carragher and that seething ball of spite and rage who deliberately crippled one of our players, and then insulted his son, Roy Keane.

Alan Shearer as a pundit is like 20mg of diazepam in human form and always has been.

Yet it’s Micah Richards who is getting stick from so many supporters of the club he served for years as a youth player, first team player, club rep and captain. It’s Micah who has got over 300 pages of Blues poring over every word he says and thinking up new and creative excuses for why they don’t like him, even though he loves our club and helped get us where we are now.

Not right.

I have been noticing this myself but have chosen to over look it. People just don't really want to say what they dislike about it him. I was also shocked on the "Kompany to Bayern" thread, some of these types where there also, trying to subtly tear the man down.

if someone has been a tremendous player for the club (completely scandal FREE player by the way), the least you can do is wish them well and go on about your life. I remember how hard it was for some fans to talk down on Milner despite the deceitful mind games he played with his contract situation, some still can't even bring themselves to call Milner out but Micah? Vinny? Oh, easy targets. Its just ridiculous at this point.

His book was available for 99p on kindle so being a tight fucker I thought I'd give it a go. Not that likeable really and rated himself a bit too highly.

borrowed his book from my next door neighbour last year and was disappointed in it and my opinion of him definitely changed and not in a positive way

I'd say that because he has decided to adopt the personna of "class clown", he is decidedly worse than most pundits in that it's not punditry. To be worse and less informative than most of the present mob, is quite some going.

I'll tell you what leaves a slightly bad taste. You can see Shearer and Lineker looking at him and liking him, but liking him in the way you'd like a loveable puppy. He is no threat to them whatsoever, he's good for a few laughs (for some), which they certainly aren't, and as long as he stays in his lane and knows his place, he's fine. In short, it's a subtly patronising relationship.
Nedum, who is a cut above both Lineker and Shearer in both articulacy and intelligence, would most definitely occupy too much space. He'll never get that gig.

How can you possibly know this? Do you see them off screen? Do you talk to either Lineker or Shearer? He'll work as a pundit for years longer than Lineker has left because he's more relevant these days having played more recently.

Of course he's an awful pundit but at some point it just seems so personal and vile. Even the pundits who played for the "rags" or the "dippers" haven't been trashed as bad as Micah's being trashed by the fans of the club he played for.

He has never said anything in support of the 115 charges, never said anything negative about Pep, never being involved in any misconduct, he's just someone who has a few laughs every now and then, he isn't a good pundit but more than half of them aren't either, what makes his case so bad? What makes him the worse of the bunch? Why is there some special hatred towards him?

Absolute bollocks. Forget the hate, look at the fucking praise. Richards has so much praise on here... Trying comparing that!

Stop taking 1 or 2 people (Or however many) and using that as an example of the fanbase. Just fuckoff from it and go support Micah Richards fan club, but before you go just check the amount of praise he HAS had.

So much to go through I don’t see the point. Richard’s is not treated any differently to the other pundits. If anything he was given an easier ride because he used to play for the club. Disagree by all means but the argument you make is not backed up by facts. Meeks is a moron and the rest are sneaky fuckers. The club is facing 115 and bile from all corners, yet Richards has no backbone to stand up to the other pundits.

He laughs and jokes around pretending to support city to earn money and that’s fine but let’s not pretend he gets more abuse than the other people you have mentioned.

You have made your opinion and that’s that. No point going on about it.

The overall quality of pundits is terrible anyway. Utter garbage actually.

One of the posters calling your post out made a post that he hates Micah because of his "larger than life personality" and that same poster failed to see what you meant when you said "outgoing black men are treated differently".

Sums it all up really, but I bet he still wouldn't see it.

But it’s nothing to do with his skin colour. It’s his personality that grates. Similarly, Alan Carr grates on me because he’s over the top, loud and playing the class clown. That isn’t because he’s gay, it’s because a lot of people don’t like brash, loud oafs pretending to be thicker than they are.

Similarly, a lot of people don’t like the IShowSpeed bloke. Not because he’s black, but because he’s a rude ****.
