As a middle class university educated person who lives a comparatively very comfortable life and whose politics are firmly in the Blairite pro-EU centrism camp, it's easy for me to sneer at people like her. And I have done, lots of times.

The sad thing about that video is that woman deep down doesn't mean any harm at all. She's clearly not a foaming at the mouth pissed up racist thug covered in swastikas fresh from a National Front meeting.

She's a working class old northern woman from a town that's gone to shit and has been let down by successive governments. I get that.

A con man like Farage comes along and pretends to care and gives her someone to blame. It's heartbreaking really.
