The Grauniad's hypocrisy is offf the scale when they rightly rail against racism in their news stories while their anti-City rhetoric is full of racism of which Ronay's "row of grinning beards" is just one example. Not read the first article but surely The Grauniad is right to call out racism/facism? No other British paper is going to do it!
Would be better if it didn't start with this bit of subconsciousness:Opinion piece, but a change to see something positive (without derogatory snide claims) popping up on my home page.
C#nts like him are the reason I’ve never worked in the south. Too many Pretentious pricks like himPosh? He's the very worse kind - delusions and pretence of being something he's not.
The problem is people fall for this shit, including some of our very own Blue Mooners.TalkSport has a simple offer - shock jocks give controversial opinions, often counter-argued by a presenting partner. The phone lines open and the offended ring in, from both sides, and create the show. The advertisers and producers are happy. The punters foam at the mouth.
Once you grasp that the aim of much of the media in the UK is to create as much anger as possible because it creates clicks and responses, you understand that it is, largely, to be ignored. Our situation is slightly different because the 'debate' has been so one-sided. Perhaps I feel that because my beliefs are tainted in sky-blue. Perhaps it is fact because our club will not respond and will not breach the confidentiality of the process. Perhaps it is because people like Simon Jordan know that attacking Manchester City secures many more listeners than defending them.
Obviously they think that’s the “right kind of racism”. Hypocrisy abounds at the Graun….The Grauniad's hypocrisy is offf the scale when they rightly rail against racism in their news stories while their anti-City rhetoric is full of racism of which Ronay's "row of grinning beards" is just one example.
