Ravinelli did well at Boro and Ogbonna lasted a few years at West Ham but most haven't taken to the higher pace of PL.
Di Canio had his moments too.

No it’s not about Italians doing well in the premier League( zola and Vialli etc) it’s how many have won a title in England only Mario apparently ..

I originally made the point that most Italian players haven't really taken to PL and it's broadened out from there.

Benito Carbone was decent too. There have been a lot of brilliant Italian players in this league with the likes of Vialli, Zola, Di Matteo, Di Canio, Mario and even Maresca did well at West Brom.

Didn’t play enough. In the season that he scored that winner, he played 4 games, which back then disqualified him from a medal.

In 2010/11, he played 7 times, but it seems the cut off was 10 games.

He’d have got one these days though.

I diverse again, but seeing as you mentioned Baggio, he is currently in hospital after he and his family were attacked in a robbery at his home.

Chelsea won the league in 2004/05 and 2005/06 with Cech as their first-choice goalkeeper. Cudicini missed out on a medal in both those seasons as he only played in the league a combined seven times in two years.

Also the superstar Italians, Totti, Pirlo, Del Piero, Nesta, Cannavaro, Chiellini, DeRossi, Pippo Inzaghi, Vieri, etc. never really moved to the Prem. Just on City alone we have some of the very best of Belgium, Spain, Portugal, and Croatia. I have no doubt players like Barella, Bastoni and Chiesa would be impactful in the Prem...

I’m sure someone will prove me incorrect but I get the perception, and that many Italian players, like English players, tend to not want to travel and play abroad as there seems so few who move to the Prem/La Liga etc.

Players like Barella, Pellegrini etc I would thought would be well suited to the Spanish league in particular but I doubt they will end up playing there.
