Put kasabian on instead. Brilliant. He looks like a car wash brush
Auto-tune, the scourge of modern day music.Managed a couple of minutes of this Sza, sounded like the mic was fucked. It can’t be meant to sound like that surely?

I watched Fontaines DC earlier and it was a song I'd not heard before. You could barely hear the singer, which is annoying because their lyrics are the best part of their music.I thought her distorted vocals were part of the first song.
Obviously not.
Standing in the crowd, it’s clear there’s something wrong with SZA’s microphone.
Her vocals are muffled and distorted - which is an issue for an artist who’s appeal is all about the precision of her lyrics and her jazzy vocal runs.
It’s not clear why they’re persisting. It shouldn’t be hard to switch over to another mic.
Strangely, SZA’s vocals appeared to clear up as soon as she stepped onto the catwalk at the front of the stage for F2F (great song, by the way).
Was it just interference on her radio pack, stopping a clear signal getting to the mixing desk?
Someone get her a couple of AA batteries.

Not the only one to have had sound issues this weekend.I thought her distorted vocals were part of the first song.

I refuse to accept you even believe what you are saying yourselfSZA is one of the biggest artists in the world. Her album in 2022 was huge and really well reviewed. The fact that you've never heard of her says more about your music knowledge than Glastonbury. I'm not watching it. Maybe she's done a shit job. But purely on profile, she's exactly the sort of artist that would be given that slot.
Done exactly the same thing.Put kasabian on instead. Brilliant. He looks like a car wash brush
I liked it when the crowd started singing Sergio ;)Done exactly the same thing.
They are brilliant, as always.
Serge works as a frontman very well since Tom departed
She's had 1 EP and 1 album so far. Basically four or five star reviews from pretty much every music magazine, four grammys, an Oscar nomination, best international artist at the Brits, Kill Bill was one of the biggest hits of the year, and 10 weeks at the top of the album chart in the States, going triple platinum. So yeah, I do think she's one of the biggest and most critically acclaimed new artists in the world. Which is exactly what Glastonbury is supposed to be showing.I refuse to accept you even believe what you are saying yourself
This is the what I mean. You believe what you are saying. She’s zero uk number one singles and zero uk number one albums. Who’s the last artist to headline Glastonbury with that resume? She's had 1 EP and 1 album so far. Don't like her? Fine. But never heard of her just means you know fuck all about new music. She was on every 'best albums of 2023' list.
By that measure, you might as well get Westlife and JLS to headline then. This is the what I mean. You believe what you are saying. She’s zero uk number one singles and zero uk number one albums. Who’s the last artist to headline Glastonbury with that resume?

Well the main stage is for the biggest acts. There are other stages to showcase the up and coming artists. Absolute fact is that in previous years you do not get new artists headlining and you are free to prove me wrong.By that measure, you might as well get Westlife and JLS to headline then.
It could well be argued that James has more of a right to be there tonight and plonk her on the 3 o'clock other stage slot.Well the main stage is for the biggest acts. Note that oasis, arguably the biggest band out of the uk in a generation didn’t headline the main stage until well after definitely maybe and what’s the story were released
I didn’t recognise her, didn’t seem to be the same woman to me.Shania Twain looks bloody great for 58. But can't sing for toffee it would seam.
