Glastonbury 2024

It was special. Not going to lie, I got a little emotional during their set. I have had a bit of personal turmoil over the last few weeks and deep down I knew that I will probably never go back to the festival. Its a good job I had shades on, so my mates could not see my eyes :-D
Hope all ok buddy. Music is a tonic always.

wank decision making by bbc - in the year Putin invade Ukraine, DakhaBrakha set not featured on iPlayer when you may have thought it would be featured for so many reasons - piss-poor response from beeb comms people too
Looks like they didn’t cover any of the early bands. They also have no footage of the Zutons and no coverage for The K’s who in my opinion will be very big in the next 2 years or The Lottery winners who already are!

Thought PJ Harvey knocked it out of the park, why has she never been given a headline slot is beyond me,LCD Sound System were fucking 1st class as well, the rest of it was all a bit meh for me

If anyone wants to download some performances to keep then 'Sharemania' is worth checking out.

I'm sound mate. Been going to Glasto for years. I live around the corner from the festival these days and 12 of my mates came down from Newton Heath. Been diagnosed with diabetes to go along with my Crohns. So realistically, it was probably the last mad one I will ever have with my mates. I will have to be a lot more sensible from now on.
Thats why I got a little emotional on the Sunday during James.

Well that was another hr of my life I won't get back again. No luck this year again. Seems harder and harder to get tickets these days.

Me too, I got almost to the end of the queue, which is more frustrating in a way. Be shit anyway and it'll piss down.
We have been a few times, the last being in 2019. The sales process always seems very frustrating to me. To be honest I thought the line up last year was poor, and not just the headliners. Usually there are plenty of acts that are up our street but last year it wasn't the case. We will try and pick up a few the bands on tours which we did this year, you see more of the bands you like that way, but the overall experience is not the same.

I went on out of curiosity to check out the new booking system with no intention of buying as normally a farce and the £380 is a proper bumming but got on within in 5 minutes on one tablet one tab open. Messaged friends that have never been got the reg numbers so made their day and the other half talked me into it so I might go.

How much? They're taking the piss. I'd want paying that much to be wedged in the middle of a bunch of smelly tree huggers.

;-)
At least £50 to park your car in a field on top of the £380 ticket, its a total rip off but its a good laugh providing you get a bit of luck with the weather but money on festivals has gone crazy now especially this one.

And tree huggers i wish, it's more like a coked up 1980s night in Yates pub at Glastonbury these days, right down your street...

I managed to get a ticket. I live literally around the corner, so will be staying at home.

Mad thing is. I do not a single person down here who managed to get a ticket. Yet loads of my mates from in Newton Heath managed to get them.

Good stuff mate. I believe Mark XTC and a few other DJs do a thing in one of the small tents there on a regular basis, or certainly used to.
Staying at home certainly will put a different spin on it!

My last one was 2019 as it goes. My son almost completely ruined it by getting totally off his tits on the Sunday night. I feel I need to go back and exorcise that experience and make good with the festival (he is now clean and sober and lovely). Not really got near since though so may never happen.
