Guess that's the nail on the proverbial coffin then
It may well be. If it is then so be it. Ederson is the best there is at distribution but we'll soon replace him, just like we replaced several key players some said we couldn't. Rodri being the last example of filling Fernandinho's boots which I said he couldn't for 2 seasons, now look at him. Best DM in world.

I was worried if we were ever going to replace Silva, look how that turned out. No player is greater than the club, I would even go as far as saying no manager is greater than the club. All good things come to an end. We haven't really done a great job finding someone to replace Eddie however at the moment, I think Ortega is as good as we would get and who knows he might get better with time.

I like Ederson and hope he stays but he needs to cut out his recent petulant strops, especially the one this morning when he ignored Pep like a sulking teenager being sent to their bedroom.
Is this true? If that's the case, Pep will kick him out and with good reason.

Not too worried. Ortega played 9 PL games last season. 7 wins and 2 draws. Tough matches like Liverpool, Tottenham, Palace and Newcastle away, or Arsenal, West Ham and Brighton home. People thinking we will downgrade without Ederson, how do you explain those 9 matches?

what did he do?

what did he do?
Apparently he’s not happy with the praise Steffan received for his performance against spurs . If he’s getting petulant he needs a dose of reality as nobody should disturb what seems to be an incredible spirit in the squad

Sam Lee knows about as much as Jack Gaughan, Jamie Paradise and all the other Beano scribblers!

As always, support the players until they leave the club or badmouth it.
Ederson is a player intrinsic to the success we have had. We should absolutely value him.
Not to the detriment of the squad though. His behaviour coming off against Tottingham was poor to say the least and as it transpired he suffered a serious injury to his face which meant he was in danger if he’d remained on the pitch

At one point he was unconscious on the pitch. There's no way he was in full control of himself. I'm willing to forgive his hysterics.

Seeing him with the squad in the US he looks pretty happy and laid back

Yeah its nice to see. He really seemed disappointed to even angry at the end of the season having to sit out, especially with his extended family travelling over.

Hope he stays long term. Genuinely one of my all time favourites at the club.
