Who is the City player in the background, Roy Cheetham?

The colours in this photo are brilliant.

I can identify all of the City players, apart from the one, whose head is between Best'arm and body. Does anyone know who it is?

It doesn't look like Heslop or Pardoe so I'd guess Bobby Kennedy who definitely played in that game.

I think it's Bobby Owen taking the shot

Owen was playing instead of Tony Coleman and Kennedy was covering for the injured Tony Book.

Otherwise it was the regular City line-up from the last few games of 67-68.
Yeah, you’re right.

I don’t remember either Kennedy or Owen, and I often confuse them.

This is one of the last photos I took with my dad present with me back in or around 2000. He sadly passed away in 2002 and never saw the move to the Etihad nor the success since. Although I reckon he’s looking down from heaven and enjoying every minute of the ride. We used to sit in the Platt Lane from the 1960’s as my dad was in a wheelchair, so after they moved the blue inva cars from the side of the pitch we would park under the old Platt Lane stand until that was stopped in the early 80’s.
