PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Anyone who has ever tried to re-arrange a meeting, even a one-day meeting, with senior, in-demand professionals knows that re-arranging a case like this from 6 weeks November/January to 10 weeks September/December is almost impossible. That is two/three months of re-arranged diaries for how many professionals? 20 or 30? I can't see it myself.

Just don't believe anything you read in the press would be my advice. We will presumably hear somehow when it actually starts ....
It seems unbelievable.
If September is true then it was always September !

It actually does unfortunately. Without them and Chelsea it would be finished as a top league. All eyes would be on the Super League.
No it doesnt, the press will tell you it does but it just quite simply is not the case, villa, the geordies, us, even forrest get big crowds quite regularly, it would be nowhere near finished as a top league

Yeah.

I fancy a another trip to Saltergate.

We could have a 99 reunion tour.
Older blues would deal with because we've been there before mate. Cheaper tickets that are easier to get, City on tour without ubiquitous glory hunting half n' half scarf wearers on show. Bring it on.

We're in your hands..

I, for one, would walk away from football completely if the scenario you're proposing ever came to pass. What point is there to supporting your club if what sustains every fan's passion - the ongoing potential to change your history of domestic endeavour - is swept away with the stroke of a pen? Do we really want to replace all that with a superficial so-called super league for the elite clubs of world football in which only the extremely well off could afford to travel to away games on a regular basis? If ordinary match attending fans already feel alienated by rocketing ticket prices, imagine what clubs like ours will be charging in the event we're playing the likes of Real, Barca and Bayern repeatedly! Equally, if an ESL were to proceed without City, where's the incentive for fans to watch a PL without the prospect of putting the red shirt teams and Spurs to the sword? Surely, the ultimate illustration of such folly is a season without a derby match, something the vast majority of fans would never countenance.
Life will go on, some folk said the same in 1992 .

The only thing that's constant is change.

Maybe I'm way off on this one but could it be possible that we've been talking with the prem league for a while and we've admitted our guilt. Some sort of settlement has been agreed which would involve a huge fine and points deduction, but the hearing still has to take place anyway.
It's could be another reason as to why we aren't spending this summer.

You’re such a creepy weirdo.

I have no idea what is going to happen and I don't know if we have fiddled the books ( please note everyone knows the rules where brought into stop us ) , but what I will say whilst Stu Pot was managing us and we didn't score a goal from January 1st till the end of the season if someone had offered me a champions league , 4 in a row plus a few more premiership titles a super cup , world club champions and a few domestic cups along the way and batter them red cunts 6 1 4 1 etc ,but you would be relegated due to cooking the books I would have snapped there hands off.

Thank you Sheikh Mansour

I hope that's not our closing argument ;-)

I'm very sceptical of date changes.

I'm aware Lord P probably has a big experienced team below him but I'd expect him to lead from the front and would assume that he's not sat at home on his backside waiting for this to start and is involved in other ongoing cases, his potential unavailability until the original date in November would render a 'quick start' unfeasible.
Would the new date not have to be agreed by both parties?

'Clear and irrefutable evidence" The sooner it's in the public domain the better and we can move on.

Totally disagree

Why should a few bitter jealous corrupt red clubs and their complicit puppets in the PL and the media, be allowed to destroy something we’ve built up over 20 years? … just because we had the temerity to be better than them and take away the jewels they think belong to them

The sport is finished as a competitive entity with a level playing field if they are allowed to get away with that
