I don’t agree that it would have been embarrassing, as we had team consisting of four Academy kids, several players, who were playing their first pre-season game, plus Erling, Eddie, Kova and Joško, against a practically full-strength side.

The biggest bonus to come from Saturday’s result is that we won’t have to put up with the rag sycophants in our sports media crowing about how the rags are going to take the League by storm this season.

Under a decent manager, perhaps, but Ten-Bob is so way out of his depth it's hysterically funny.
They'll probably take off flying for the first couple of weeks, the tabloids (and the media in general) will be hyping them up to the stratosphere, but by the onset of winter it will be the usual case of them slipping down the league. There will be disharmony within the camp, and two or three players will go out on loan in the January window - the usual rag stuff.
But the fun, the real laugh-a-second hilarity will begin once Waistcoat is there. Watch the plastic raggies then when they are tired of sideways and reverse passing, Ratboy will be on his soapbox inciting the braindead morons to don their zebra trousers and hit the protest trail...again.
