The perfect player disciplined, role model, hard working and knows the club inside out.

Could easily be in the squad and develop coaching skills in some capacity.

If he is available - get him back.
 
It's a huge yes from me. Many footballers these days are great athletes but Gundogen is one of those elite level players who use their brains as well as their skill. Modric is another, still at Real Madrid for a reason. All those extraordinary athletes need ring masters to get them to focus their skills on what is important in a game.

I wouldn't be surprised. IIRC, La Liga rules dictate that every player must have a release clause. They get around this by giving pretty much every top-class player a huge clause that they are confident nobody will ever activate. By extension, nearly every La Liga player goes for much less than their release clause.

Isn't the whole reason Gundo is leaving is because Barca need to register new players?

Getting Cancelo for Gundo only adds to the problem for them.
 
I usually don't favour players returning to clubs for a second stint but I have a good feeling about this one if it's possible and he's up for it.

He's not starting over Bernardo, kdb, foden, or rodri... But if they need a rest, why not if we can get him back for equivalent of nothing?

You may be right, I read today they haven’t been able to register Olmo and are looking to unload a couple of players.
