Allsvenskan 2024 Swedish League

Ffs.......are we playing at home yet or is the grass still banned?
Yeah that seems ti have had the opposite effect though. The grass is not always greener ;-)

Plus you sold your left back to Djurgården as well which has not helped.

This weekend brought another round in Allsvenskan

The big game of the weekend was Malmö visiting AIk in Stockholm. It finished in goalless draw which suited Malmö.

In the other top match Djurgården were unable to beat Mjällby

Hammarby the other team chasing Malmö also threw away their lead to draw with Norrköping.

It was an exciting Gothenburg derby as Häcken drew level times in game to share the points

Another high scoring game was Sirius v Brommpojkarna. Top scorer Vasic continues to score loads of goals. But this time he was undone by Sirius

@malg your team is in big trouble as they lost to another side at the bottom of table.

Halmstad is also in trouble they lost to Elfsborg at home

Former European Cup finalists.

Lost to a Trevor Francis goal for the great Brian Clough's Nottingham Forest.
Yeah, soon as I saw that game kick off I was a Malmo fan, and it's the only place in Sweden I've been to. Bloody cafe didn't take Euros. Mind the Cherry Tree in Littleborough probably wouldn't either!

Nightmare for Hammarby conceding that goal, don’t think they will catch Malmo but hopefully they get into Europe!

A great day for the league leader Malmö today.

They thumped Höcken 4-0

2nd placed Djurgåden got schooled by an in-form GAIS

3rd placed Hammarby onöy mansged a goalless draw against Elfsborg

Finally @malg your boys Värnamo got a vital win against bottom side Västerås 2-0 leaving you guys a couple points above the relegation spots.

The Häcken - Göteborg game must have been a cracker.

@Dave Ewing's Back 'eader here is another classic performance from a Swedish team. Trelleborg who were part-timers and they knocked out Blackburn with Shearer amd Sutton up top

Had to laugh yesterday listening to R5 with Sutton 'n the Welsh idiot. A City fan came on and suggested that Oliver was shite, as we all knew and saw, a game littered with refereeing errors, and Sutton countered with 'He's a Uefa referee!' Well, we know how shite Uefa is on most things, Chris!

One match played today, it was a battle at the bottom between Halmstad and Göteborg. @Vienna_70 Göteborg were in their typical mode of late, wasteful up top and woeful at the back :-). At least this time they got a late equaliser.

Anders Frisk

He pretended he was Colina but he is just an arrogant twat and was a rubbish “uefa” ref.
Oh, I remember him. I think we had another Swedish ref for a CL game some seasons ago. He was terrible, he knew he was terrible, and at FT he added no time on and after whistling for full time sprinted to the tunnel. We'd never seen anything like it!

Another round of games was played yesterday and today. I have shared the key fixtures of this round.

It was intense Stockholm derby that was interupted by pyrotechnics setting off fire in the arena. The game was settled in the last few minutes by former City striker John Guidetti.

Malmö managed to beat their nemesis Mjällby. Uwe’s son Colin had a solid performance against his former team. Malmö are closing in on the title quickly

Värnsmo got a vital point at the bottom of the table with stoppage time equaliser from Simon Thern. It also put a major dent in Djurgården’s title aspirations.

It was also intense and passionate derby in Gothenburg between Glteborg and GAiS. This game was interupted by fire works. Eventually Göteborg won the game and claim vital points as they climbed away from the relegation places.
