Got to be looking for the win here, can't really call it either way. Wish we had Merlin to unlock the bastards today. Early goal would be amazing as it would force them out to play.

Unpopular view - we need to shut up shop as much as they do. Last couple of games, the opposition have been through us like a hot knife in butter. Every foray leading to a chance - Kovacic and Rodru needed. Sorry to the shiny wingers theory thinkers.

I agree, teams set up so deep against us there's no space for our attacking wingers. Doku and Savio have 3 men to beat all the time. Much better to bring them off the bench against tired legs when hopefully we have the lead and Arsenal need to take risks.

Arsenal were under the cosh for the first 15 minutes of both halves last weekend, but Spurs just couldn’t turn all the pressure into clear goal scoring opportunities and those they did create they spurned. Rather expect us to push them back, too, so just hope Haaland converts his first chance.

I am just hoping we only player one of Grealish or Bernardo on the wings.
I agree I love Bernardo but he can stifle our attack a bit sometimes. Obviously his defensive work is unparalleled but I'd like to see us really go for it.

Arteta not confident.

Coming out with the fixture congestion as a pre match excuse.

You get that from most managers nowadays, it's like anyone really cares or gives a fuck about their whinging.

It'll be the Manchester rain or the smell of Bovril that puts them off next.

The Boys in Blue never give in, they fight to the end. Come on City, Come on City. Show ‘em lads, show ‘em all.

Especially the Southern Softies who think because their nickname is the Gunners they are hard…. *rofl* hard, they’re like little pancakes poor loves. Can you imagine pancakes with Rice!! You’ll show ‘em.

Especially the know nowt, alleged media types who haven’t got the sense they were born with. Who have no idea about real, solid team work. They are too busy making sure they do their masters bidding. Like little lap dogs or the dog on the record labels of old ‘His Master’s Voice' (one for the FOCs there). The stupid, googly mooglys, they don’t know one end of a football pitch from the other. Pathetic little hobknockers that they are.

Especially the Specsavers needing, whistle blowing so called officials who have forgotten that there are rules in football………. Well they only forget when it is Manchester City of course. The bunch of tottering tadpoles who just can’t accept that they are refereeing MANCHESTER CITY, THE BEST TEAM IN THE LAND AND ALL THE WORLD. When will you shitake mushrooms learn?!! (sorry @jimharri forgot to warn you to put in the ear muffs)

Mr Guardiola please play John Boy today. I want to see him play 90 minutes and show the nay sayers that he is still the best we have. Thank you.

Fearing a tough game for the Viking today……..won’t be any spaces to run into……

Their biggest game this one and I think they'll be stinging from the criticism of their negative tactics from last season. They'll be right up for this and will attack from the start - and they have one of the best attacking games in world football over the last 3 years. Rice is absolutely world class and proving that actually Arsenal got a good deal getting him for what they did. Jesus will be right up for it and will be dying to show that ruthless streak in front of goal that he's renowned for. Also, Saka is a future Balon d'Or winner and probably should be in the top 3 this year. They are a force to be reckoned with.

Add to that the fact that their defence will have Haaland in their pocket again. Also our players haven't hit the ground running just yet.

So, let's just take a 1-1, keep our unbeaten start and move on to 3 points next time round.
You'll catch a few with that

Ederson
Walker
Dias
Akanji
Gvardiol
Rodri
Bernardo
Foden
Savio
Haaland
Grealish

Pep will won't to control the game. If we need pace later on the game Doku will feature
We have failed to control the last two games and Doku never played. This narrative that we can’t control a game if Doku plays is ridiculous.

Thank you Eccles! Matchday wouldn't be the same without your rousing call to arms post. Keep up the good work. CTWD

Nothing has been said on De Bruyne's groin strain since Friday so let's hope no news is good news. That said I don't want him in the squad if there's any chance of aggravating the injury.
i find it amusing that before any big game we pretty much don't have any training pics or news, always wondered if the opposition team can find a way to know about it
