Atmosphere 2024/25

One small thing why did the club change the pre match routine and play blue moon before the players came out to try and get everyone singing "tearing cocnkeys apart again"? You can't sing that song at the start of a game, only after if you have actually won.
The club don’t have a fucking clue. Music played over the PA is awful, cheesy sped up versions that no-one wants to hear played ridiculously loud at the wrong times. Kills atmosphere rather than builds it. Whoever’s responsible for stuff like that needs sacking.

Season ticket holder in SS3 and I thought today was pretty decent , Arsenal's shit housery and time wasting didn't help and frustrated the crowd but the Johnny Stones chant took the roof off , even though the early leavers had left by then , Sunday evening and the games on a knife edge , each to their own , but why ? Something I'll never get me head round.

Atmosphere was good I thought though I think I'm slightly biased as I'm right on the boundary with the away side in 314..

Fans leaving for a beer on 35th min bizzared me there was gonna be alot of added time with Rodri going down twice etc
Same fans also leaving early missed the goal too so justice I suppose. Onto Watford.

The Johnny Stones chant after he scored the equaliser was one of the loudest chants I’ve ever heard at the Etihad.
As much as I dislike the announcer guy, that was a perfect example of him getting it right for once.

Just gotta hope he doesn't try anything similar on Tuesday against Watford.

How come Arsenal fans were in the home sections today?
Well there was a big fight in the Family Stand late on today, so it’s clearly not a good idea.

Also nearly kicked off in 104, about five Arsenal fans sat together all jumped up when they scored their first and lads were going over from both 103 and 105 to have it with them.

It’s going to end in tears with someone getting seriously hurt one day and City will be to blame.

They’ve not learnt their lesson from Celtic, where I thought some Celtic fans were going to get a serious battering in 105. All City have done is move that section to 104 for CL nights now, like all the lads who weren’t up for a rumble in 105 won’t just walk a few extra yards to 104?!

One broke cover in 102 when they scored, someone punched him as he was being escorted out. 20 minutes later Showsec came in mob handed to apprehend the puncher, who seemed resigned to his fate…..

Thought it was alright today, second half could have been better but the tempo probably didn't help. Think arsenal have stolen every other teams song going, cheering rodri going off too. Classy.

Someone will get an email tomorrow warning them about missing games.
Meanwhile our club sell tickets to opposition supporters in OUR end!

Who's really on the wrong????????????????
The club sell tickets to people with memberships and they are unlikely to demand previous purchase history for games against, Arse, rags and dippers when there's 50 or 60 quid at stake. - Perhaps some of the new 7,000 could have bought them.
But they also sell to licenced touts who sell to anybody even though selling home area tickets to away fans is supposed to be illegal.
If the trouble in 104 or the north stand involved Arsenal fans then the club knows who bought the tickets and has to act. Alternatively the police could act, but I'd prefer it if we could sort it out inhouse.

Sushhhh....there wasn’t any atmosphere !!I

If ever there is an example of why away supporters should be moved to ES1 / SS1 round the corner flag ( the worst viewing and acoustics position in the stadium ) today confirms and reinforces it.

I didn't hear a sing song or chant from our supposed ‘singing section’ in that area today....not a one.

All CITYs singers need to be in SS3/2/1 & NS 2 when it opens.

We split up our singers into two completely separate, disconnected areas, whilst piling the away fans on top of each other in an increasingly elevated, acoustical superior, single stand......and then expect an intense atmosphere.

The whole of SS3/2 + 75% of SS1 must become City fans only.

The OSC,1894, City Matters and we fans should be vigorously petioning the club to start the dialogue with the authorities to get this sorted for when the NS opens because today was actually quite embarrassing !!

With regards to 1894, whom i support and respect, i feel that they aren't vigourous enough in creating, and encouraging others to create, an intense noise.

They are good lads, and very well intended, but their forte is displays not noise.

In advance of, and in preparation for NS2 and an all City SS3/2, now maybe be the right time to form an 'atmosphere group' - 189Noise ? - to Identify core, atmospheric songs and chants with an edgy degree of militancy.

IMO....today should be a clarion call for EVERYONE, that simple but effective and necessary changes are needed....NOW !!

Happy to help.
Not sure where in the ground you were but south stand does sing and if you say you can’t hear them start one song you’re either lying or just deaf.

As for making the same point over and over again , the police are not going to move the away fans: I know for a fact you already got an answer on this direct from 1894 when you mailed them:

The likes of khaldoon soriano de vries etc don’t give a shit about the atmosphere they never have and they never will. You can only work with the club if the club are prepared to listen.

How can the club act against itself?

Sorry, I forgot, they employed a new Ticket Compliance Manager?

The atmosphere is not just about singing songs… today it was good. The roars of encouragement, the contempt for Arsenal. I thought our fans were good today

Plenty of animosity between the City fans and Arsenal Fans son SSL1 throughout the match.

That’s harsh. The puncher is doing the club and all city fans a favour.
Unfortunately he made quite a journey to make the punch, he wasn’t right next to him and many rows back, and the victim was in the process of being marched out by stewards and didn’t see it coming. Caught him side of the neck too. Reckon a few years ban for it, but a stupid thing to do.

The 1894 guys have fed that back to the club countless times but the club disregard the feedback.
