I was thinking, would this ever work in reverse? im talking specifically about a tackle similar to this one.

Ref gives a yellow, VAR reviews it but doesnt feel it to be a "clear and obvious error" and then changed to a red later?
Almost definitely not. They’ve overturned it because the rags appealed. You’d need a club to request a player of another to be given a retrospective ban presumably and the answer would be ‘no. The ref and var made their decision’

I actually thought the red was a bit harsh. But there‘s obviously no grounds for it to be rescinded.

Again it shows why VAR is bent and pointless

The match referee gave him a straight red VAR looked at it and agreed it stayed with the referee's choice.
Only for PGMOL to overturn it on appeal, The stench around this lot is why I hate the game,

Do you think City win the appeal if it was Rodri

It’s not PGMOL that rescind it, it goes to a 3 man FA tribunal made up of ex players and refs, a bit like our 115 panel.

They only other time I can think of that it’s been successful was MacAllister last season, but there may have been a few others.

Yep, sent off player interviewed after the game, a first, to start his PR campaign, backed up by the media
It sure was.
So, if I recall correctly once you have been dismissed you must leave the field of play - in all its guises - the PL since its inception have deemed everything as part of play.
Rat twat surely brings the game into disrepute by questioning the decision?
More to the point and this really has me perplexed - the game is over, he’s left the field an hour before. He’s interviewed ‘live’ after the game still in his scum kit - am I missing something here?

Like fuck we would. Disgrace and a joke combined.

So many things wrong about this. But still fresh in the memory was that joke of a goal they scored against us a couple of seasons ago so why be surprised by the latest episode.

Didn’t think it was a red at the time, and it should have been rescinded in the pitch. Makes a bit of a mockery of VAR. Not convinced an appeal would’ve been successful if it was a different club, mind you. Not that it really matters. Fernandes is more of a hindrance to United on current form.
Are they going to pass it on to the argie dwarf for his two footed jump tackle that injured a Palace player ??

Clear & Obvious.

Ten Bob says he always wins trophies, fair enough and I hope they keep backing him as they continue their slide down the Premier League and pins their hopes on the League Cup or maybe even the FA Cup like so many other mid-table teams. If they continue on their current trajectory they'll be in a relegation battle at the end of the season and then maybe next year he can try to win the Championship Trophy? It's quite funny 8-)

They are playing Salieri to City's Mozart and they fucking hate it. They can't understand how it happened, but all empires crumble in the end, often because of the complacency or vainglory of their leaders. Or because the world changes and makes them untenable.

In 1901, Britain had the largest empire the world had ever seen, with vast reserves of gold stacked up in the Bank of England. It was the world's leading military power. Look at us now. Times change, and what was once unassailable disappears and becomes something different altogether.

Or maybe in five years or so, they could emulate us and win the League One playoff trophy.
