@Keepingthefaithsince1976 sadly I couldn't make the funeral but I saw some pictures shared here. There was a live link but I couldn't get it to work. Here are the pictures.
It was an honour to say goodbye to a truly beautiful person, a class act in every way.

No mate, didn’t hear about a mix up but it was tiny, fortunately there were speakers outside and I was tall enough to see over the heads inside.Glad it went well. Did everybody get into the chapel? I read there was a mix up and as a result were allocated the smaller one.

I don’t think seeing anything inside made a big difference anyway, most people were happy just to listen and laugh at some of the stories, head bowed, reflecting and remembering, was good to fill in a few blanks as well, never realised he had so many older brothers and sisters, I only really remember Dougie and Gwen (who set the Alsation on me).

Thanks so much for all your efforts and comments. I'm sad I couldn't get there but logistically I couldn't make it work. He was definitely someone who brightened every room he entered. A true blue who loved the club and was there through the dark days. I'm delighted he got to see City winning the last decade or so. His memory will live on and his music, songs and smile will brighten my day whenever I remember him. RIP Barry and love to all your family. He was such a talent but more importantly a special human being. He had such a beautiful aura about him that you only had to meet him once to remember him forever.
I think Gwen has passed too.

I know it's a bit of a longshot, but has anybody got Sad Cafes Everyday hurts with Barry on vocals? I'd love to hear his version. It's one of my all time favourite songs.
My pleasure.
That has made me tearful. When you think of the talentless rubbish around now and then you see and hear that. He had more talent in his big toe than…. Anyway, I’ve written earlier that I saw Barry just a couple of months before he passed away and he was as cheerful as ever. A sweet, funny man, who will be sadly missed.
Thanks for posting that.Thanks Paul
