Great hair though !
There was a funny exchange early on Soccer Saturday when the panel were all invited to say who they thought their look a like was (off the back of a Jack Grealish interview piece).

Lee Hendry said Sue Smith. What was gobsmacking was that he said it when she was also there in a different part of the same studio, doing the EFL goals. I just wished they’d panned to her reaction, but sadly an opportunity was lost.

I think Matterface is secretly a rag whilst he moved to Manchester there's no other reason why a Chelsea fan is celebrating like that.

Can understand Perry Groves doing it.

Thought very similar myself. Groves reaction was totally fair and understandable really considering his Arsenal history.

Matterface though is a tw@t.

One other point - I can't quite understand what companies think they're achieving by putting clips like this into the public domain. I guess they gain some form of interactions from it, but stuff like this has probably always gone on, just nobody got to see it before. They've kind of dropped Matterface in it a little, I wonder how he feels about that.

SkySports have had an absolute shocker the past couple of days. Sue Smith another example today. Embarrassing.

The Premier League need to think about awarding rights to broadcasters who can fairly convey the rules of the game rather than just the highest bidder.

Should the media be going on about how one of the most dangerous headers of the ball is allowed a free header anyhow ????

Had the Wolves defence done there job correctly then we wouldnt be having this conversation.

If Wolves had actually attacked at some point, they might have ... gasp ... won more than one corner themselves and maybe they could have put us under the same pressure we did them. But they showed zero fucking ambition so they get what they get. Fuck 'em. The boring bastards.

It might be interesting to see some footage from their one corner, to, you know, see what happened goalkeeper-wise.

Matterface lives in East Didsbury. He must socialise with some of the plastic ones.

To be fair, it was our 18 corner of the match. We were bound to get one right eventually
Think it was Jack Gaughan doing the team ratings who gave Wolves a total of 74 compared to 69 for City, despite the fact we had 18 corners, 22 shots, 7 on target.
What does this club have to do for the media to accept the best team actually won.
It seems we are the scalp every club wants and they are putting on season best performances against us but we are still the only unbeaten team.

Does he really? He seems to spend an awful lot of time broadcasting from what I thought were London-based studios, so I l’m genuinely surprised by that. Maybe he’s got a new partner/family up here.

I never complain to any of these companies as they don't take any notice but today I was tempted to complain about Sue Smith. Her stubborn refusal to accept the decision regarding our goal was correct was both embarrassing and unprofessional. Even staunch Liverpool fan Warnock was baffled at her refusal to accept it.

He occasionally does his shows from his flat.

Occasionally he makes reference to it when he's doing ITV commentary on Manchester.

I wonder if Ms Sawyer put a 100 plus miles restraining order on him?

;)

I’m a little confused with all this. Was it referred to VAR because Silva was adjudged to be in an offside position and interfering with play? Or, was it because he was impeding the goalkeeper? If it’s interfering with play, when the ball was headed, he was nowhere near the goalkeeper, if he was allegedly impeding the goalkeeper, some very short memories out there, take a look at the fixture v Arsenal, a month ago and their second goal and what the hell is that if that isn’t impeding the goalkeeper, then I don’t know that is. I remember on MoTD, them saying Ederson “had to be stronger”. Those Arsenal players are big lads. Bernardo Silva is what? 5’7”, 10 stone wet through? Then the Wolves goalie had to be stronger. No, all hell to pay because it’s City. The referee’s decision was correct, so sod the Monday talk sport and Sky inquest and if, just if, Pep gets asked about it in the next premier managers media questions he gets pre armed with some facts.

They'd simply be delighted that you were engaged enough to complain. It's done its job if you're talking about it

VAR checks all goals, so they won't have been asked to look at something specific just the whole thing

I repeat. We cannot control the media. We all knew the VAR gifted win would be sensationalised as it has.
Enjoy it blues. We are top dog and they don't like it. It is not for us to worry about, it is for the other teams to step up and try to take the mantle.
The media controls peoples emotions. I sometimes get angry but I just turn off now. It is so much easier.
18 Corners, Numerous shots on target. I can safely say we deserved the win.
