I’m a little confused with all this. Was it referred to VAR because Silva was adjudged to be in an offside position and interfering with play? Or, was it because he was impeding the goalkeeper? If it’s interfering with play, when the ball was headed, he was nowhere near the goalkeeper, if he was allegedly impeding the goalkeeper, some very short memories out there, take a look at the fixture v Arsenal, a month ago and their second goal and what the hell is that if that isn’t impeding the goalkeeper, then I don’t know that is. I remember on MoTD, them saying Ederson “had to be stronger”. Those Arsenal players are big lads. Bernardo Silva is what? 5’7”, 10 stone wet through? Then the Wolves goalie had to be stronger. No, all hell to pay because it’s City. The referee’s decision was correct, so sod the Monday talk sport and Sky inquest and if, just if, Pep gets asked about it in the next premier managers media questions he gets pre armed with some facts.
