PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I think the charges will be broken up into related categories rather than a notional half a day per charge. That was the claim of the Arsenal fan. Charges could be dismissed in batches a bit like specimen charges in a criminal case. I have a gut feeling the judges decision will not take long but it will take them a while to write up their statement. This can be quite a complex task.
How long does it take to write 'Not proven'?

that's impossible, it's is a different charge for each year and each charge has to be argued and defended. If they didn't want to do it like this then don't charge the club with 130 charges. The only way batches are ruled on is if the Premier league doesn't have enough evidence so it's a straight forward win otherwise City will be fighting tooth and nail for each year and every single charge.

If there is no evidence of fraud, most of the charges will fall away, and then the rest become time barred. This may be why they are finishing early. Hope so. Come on City we can do this. Ricky Disasters needs to update his CV. He'll be looking for a new job.

I was directly involved in one of these hearings once. It was incredible how much fact-checking goes on with documents flying back and forth to various parties. The Judges won’t want to get the charges wrong like the PL for starters! I suspect that City and the PL will also do some horse trading on how the Comms is handled unless that genius Masters just wants to slag off the Judges like he usually does. I think the game is finally up for these wankers.

The hearing is very likely to match the timetable set out now. People will be scheduled as witnesses, experts scheduled, written and oral closings booked in. This is a hearing now designed to go a long way - look at the scale of the bundles being in brought in today to supplement the digital document bundle. Look at the number of junior barristers. All points to a long/10-12 week hearing as rumoured.
Slbsn that's a different view to what you said some weeks back.

There is no evidence of fraud.
Zilch. Nil. Nada. Nothin.
Everyone knows that. Even the fat ponce knows it.

If City provide irrefutable proof that kicks out multiple historic allegations in one fell swoop perhaps with just one piece of our own killer evidence the Judges will not spend all day going through each “charge.” That’s assuming the PL have got evidence for all their allegations which is a big assumption based on what happened with UEFA.

As you say, there is no chance the hearing was divided by charges. It’s divided into openings, witness evidence and cross examination, experts and closings. If it’s running slightly short it will likely be because less time than expected was required for cross examination of certain witnesses or, potentially, the experts agreeing with each other.

Time estimates for major trials/hearings always tend to be on the long side because it's so difficult to synchronise diaries and Court time. The last thing you want is to have a trial/hearing in two halves. In my experience judges are always happy to have unexpected free time to catch up.

As regards the Judgment, they will have to cover every point in the hope of making it appeal-proof.

Not really. If true (and no idea if it is), the under run would be a few days - very unlikely to be material
You can't win in situations like this. You put forward an opinion and then get 'but you said' stuff like this.

I assume you have developed a rhinoceros style hide in the last couple years?

Won't be long now before we find out which three from this lot were on the IC. Hopefully, it won't include Glancy, ex Manchester Grammar, and life-long rag, given he specialises in personal injuries, surely not ?

Can we run a poll for this? :)

I am betting Greenwood, Phillips and Kaltz.

I can guarantee it won't include O'Leary, Holt and Odogwu, who were the original Leicester panel.

Experts you say? What is Nick Harris doing there?
