PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

This is something else that makes me feel we are going to be fine, every single action they seem to take is riddled with inaccuracy and challenges. They really don't think they have a clue what they are doing.
The PL statement is ridiculous. It suggests that the regulations have been incorrectly drafted but fails to apply any common sense. It can't be right for Everton to be sanctioned twice for the same set of accounts. The PL hierarchy are behaving like the Post Office leaders did with their broken IT system. They are just hiding behind absurd and unfair regulations. Masters is bringing the game into disrepute. I am sure this latest fiasco will be brought up tomorrow at the Commons Select Committee.

Feels like ffp is unravelling but only because the clubs that voted for it are now being screwed by it.

The more clubs that fail ffp while the red tops avoid it the more the anger towards ffp and red tops will grow

I agree in theory but the reality seems to suggest that this is being positioned as all our fault… again.

Imo it’s not.

You don’t throw 115 charges at a club and essentially say “you were pieing our rules for 12 years”. That basically proves you don’t have a fucking clue what you’re doing.

You don’t then go and charge another club for pieing your rules.

You definitely don’t then go and charge that same club again.

Then to top it all off you go go and charge another?

The more they dig a hole the more it looks like they do need an independent regulator.
Agree 100 per cent. Perhaps Masters is even more stupid than anyone thought was possible. He and the PL board started off with the intention of trying to avoid an independent regulator but the way they have handled the City allegations, and now Everton and Forest, is the biggest possible advert for independent regulation. English football is a multi billion pund industry and the PL leaders are not qualified for the role they have been given.

Because it is our fault. We’ve stop United, Liverpool, and Arsenal from winning PL titles, FA Cups, Carabao Cups, a CL trophy, a Super cup, and a World Club cup. :-)

I not surprised the Yanks and the PL want us to be found guilty and punished.

Another absolutely clueless report from Dan Roan so called leading bbc football pundit on the news just now. No explanation of the charges City face, no explanation of the difference between City's charges and the situation with Everton and Forrest. And no explanation of why FFP is loathed by a large % of football fans and the restrictions it wrongly places on clubs and the unfair benefit it gives to others. What on earth has this fella ever done to get into the position that he is. An utterly useless reporter.
Spot on, in so many respects pal.

That has always been my issue with Roan. Of course he is politically biased but the main problem is he is totally incompetent. He gets a huge salary but never gets any stories. He misses everything that happens in his patch (Manchester). He has been behind the pace on the rise of Manchester City and never reveals anything we don't already know about the United takeover. HIs reporting on City's battle with UEFA was riddled with mistakes.
