Hilarious if he doesn't join after all the hype by the Rags.

However, it does reflect that official statement written in Portuguese, that United did activate the release clause, which also doesn't actually confirm Amorim's departure. Amorim remains the one withholding the transaction.

I think that's a likelihood, some noises already about discontent in the camp. I'd be a little surprised if they haven't tried for Xabi Alonso first. Unless Alonso already outright refused them.
 
It doesn't matter who they get because it's a clown show from top to bottom. Their owners are cunts and most of their players are cunts, their hovel is collapsing and they are failing on a financial level.

To top it all the two most prominent people at the club are a scruffy quasi wealthy tramp and a fist pumping champagne socialist, they're pretty much fucked on every level.

Only way they or anyone else will ever dominate again is to get a once in a lifetime genius manager like pep. Plus the best in the business upstairs.highly unlikely. They may come back one day and win the league again they probably will with all their government help they’ll soon be getting. Last time they dominated they were helped massively by complicit referees and sky tv as it was all good for the brand.
 
Football is a team sport and not just on the pitch . Pep has said repeatedly that he has the best job in the world because of the backroom team around him . They are his professional family . Thomas Frank knows this . Klopp should have known this . Amorim would do well to heed this . It can be very lonely in Salford . Worse than a medieval court with all the plotting and scheming . Even that consumate operator , now at a certain Turkish side , couldn't make it work . Only managers who value a big pay out more than success on the pitch would be daft enough to take it on .
 
IF Amorim takes it on I'm quite looking forward to seeing how he tackles the huge issues they have with the players for starters. He's been picked with the new INEOS regime now fully in control so they have to back him. If he starts clearing out the deadwood it's going to cost them a fortune they don't have. Maybe they think he can turn a sow's ear into a silk purse? It's going to be fun. IF he turns them down (and it looks like he won't) then where do they turn next?
