Not sure it's worth watching tonight for a result. It'll probably hinge on the swing states and if they are close there will probably be days of recounts, legal challenges and the odd shooting / lynching before the result is known. It'll be a worse watch than the superbowl if such a thing is possible.

The shitgibbons campaign has fallen apart...28 points down in NH...Nebraska tied...
You will all see tomorrow
It's over

I happen to LIKE the NFL, thank you very much!

Regardless...while there's definitely the possibility it'll take a couple days to know the winner, it's also possible one candidate outperforms their polls and we know in shorter order than some think.

I think this has been an especially difficult year for pollsters here in the US so who knows if the results will actually be as close as they say.

I too am afraid of violence today and in the days to come. Hoping that does not happen.

Fox just for the entertainment value
Yeah, well I’ve watched past ones with Fox, in the Bill O’Reilly days, and used CNN last time. But we also have what looks like an interesting offering from Ch4, as well as radio options like LBC, R4/5, Times. I did wonder about one of the regular US channels like NBC for a change.
I think the main UK channels like BBC, ITV and Sky also tend to pair with a ‘sister network’ from the US anyway.

I've seen a little bit of BBC's coverage of our elections, they seem to do a pretty good job.

I hear the odd slip-up here and there you likely wouldn't hear on a US network but overall it's impressive for a non-US outlet.

BBC will be boring. On the one hand this, on the other hand that, now let’s ask our panel of statistically diverse focus groups what they think…

It’s American politics, the best tv is some mad bastard ranting while fireworks go off and exit polls are narrated by the Hollywood trailer deep voice guy.

I think it may be inevitable, trump doesnt exactly have form for being a gracious loser does he.

Definitely not, the one thing that gives me hope, though, is I don't recall hearing about any violent incidents at the polls last time around.

Of course, January 6 happened a couple of months later, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it. Shame I have to say that but that's the state of things right now.

Thanks for that, had forgotten about them - will they broadcast the regular NBC coverage or do their own do you reckon?
American here - they do their own. The graphics package and theme music and all that is the same as the main NBC coverage but they have a different panel.

MSNBC is more centre-left commentary while the main NBC network is a bit less so

What time has Trump planned the insurrection for?
Will he wait for all the results or go early this time?
We know it will be the best and biggest insurrection the world has ever seen...

Whatever happens, there needs to be some new laws drawn up.
People died and somehow not only does he walk free, he can run for President. "What a country"

Thanks pal, appreciate the insight.
You are most welcome. Also I enjoy seeing what folks from countries like the UK think about our elections. Glad to see most of BM doesn't want to see Trump elected any more than I do (I know Manchester has a history of supporting Labour, but my impression is there are even plenty of Tory voters that don't particularly want Trump in power)
