I'm pretty sure he'll implode and after 4 years his voters will realize he doesn't give a shit about them.
However the Democrats have to change drastically to benefit. Less of the Springsteen, Clooney and Taylor Swift stuff and more about healthcare, job security and cost of living.

We had three threads on here that were all just basically outpourings of hate/rage/ fear about trump and anyone questioning Kamala's suitability, popularity or likelihood of winning was pretty much abused. Mostly by the characters that have now largely slunk off after weeks throwing their treasured opinions around like facts.

Even yesterday someone on here was telling us the polls were wrong etc and Kamala would win.
The truth is people in America wanted change and Kamala Harris didn't offer anything at all.....let alone change.
They also told us a few months ago that Biden was as sharp as they come, now he's the problem

Labour have to get the next couple of years right because if they don't then we're headed for this madness too.

Some areas of Europe are already going there.

If Biden had stuck to his promise. A new cadre of Dems would have appeared to run. He screwed the Democrats of that.

Agree to disagree. She was fine, and judged by a different standard to her opponent.

She wasn't fine. She was a robotic, uncomfortable candidate. Who spendy her whole campaign running away from positions she held a mere 4 years ago. She was bad all around.

But for the record, I said she was a terrible candidate to run against a headwind. Trump wasn't running against a headwind. I know the Main Stream Media painted a different picture than reality. But hey, we are here now.

She called him a racist, fascist threat to democracy. If you think that wasn't worse or on par. I guess we'll have to beg to differ.

She was asked if she agreed with a characterisation of Trump by his former chief of staff. She said yes.

Has there been any reason given for the vote turnout?

Currently:
81m-74m last time (wikipedia)
66-71 so far this time (from Google).

That's a huge change, even allowing for states still to declare. Not sure how many more there will be, 10-12m by the look(?) with a split not far off even (6 to about 4.6 mayb2, for a total of 72m-76m.

Trump will get more than he got last time in the end, Harris down by about 10m maybe.

I'm guessing the USA weren't ready to elect someone who was is woman and black.

This thought always gets mentioned and I just don’t see it. Unless you’re actively following a lot of celebrities or reading a lot of celebrity content, it’s pretty easy to ignore. Most legitimate media don’t make a huge deal of this. I feel this is something conservatives tend to trot out every time “we’re normal salt of the earth, they’re not.” And frankly, conservatives have just as many “celebs” that endorse them, they’re just not as famous so not covered as much by things like People magazine. Plenty of problems, but I think this is over stated.
