You seem to have difficulty understanding nobody is bothered somebody won, what worries people is the fact of having a a sex offending, criminal in charge of probably the most powerfull nation will do to the rest of us around the world particularly to those in Ukraine. I’m perfectly willing to judge his record on its merits, and genuinely happy to be proven wrong, but his mental capacity, and therefore his judgement, has to be a concern to anyone with ears and eyes.

Why is that? Just because I'm a normal Working class bloke, well actually i retired 6 years ago so now I'm classed as a rich person because i made sure i had a decent pension and bought our own house and struggled for years bringing our daughters up seeing them through University and helping them get a good start in life, with no help whatsoever from the Government, me and the missus have never claimed any benefits, I know a lot of people are in a bad situation through no fault of their own, but there are more that just work the system for all their working lives and when they retire and some of them live near me

In April 2014, Russian-backed militants seized towns in Ukraine's eastern Donbas region and proclaimed the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and the Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) as independent states, starting the Donbas war. Russia covertly supported the separatists with its own troops, tanks and artillery, preventing Ukraine from fully retaking the territory. In February 2015, Russia and Ukraine signed the Minsk II agreements, but they were never fully implemented in the years that followed. The Donbas war settled into a violent but static conflict between Ukraine and the Russian and separatist forces, with many brief ceasefires but no lasting peace.

And? if like you claim they were already at War why did Putin try to claim it was a Special Military operation? Surely it would just be part of the already ongoing War
