Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Valid or not, I think it is quite naive to link the two with losing a few games, in the manner in which we did, at this point in the season and given the context.
I was referring to his points about the recent recruitment which might be linked to the uncertainty over Pep's future, especially if it's the first question asked by a potential signing

I never mentioned the recent results

Just seen a headline on the MSN website here in NZ

"The FOUR Premier league clubs David Moyes could join" --- after all is said and done his moniker was "The Chosen One" !!!!!

Pep can kick the can down the fucking road for as long as he likes. He has earnt that privilege!
So long as the beautiful man stays at our club managing then I simply so not buy into the "it's just delaying the inevitable"..
That's like saying I'm going to stop living my life as I may pass away next year!!
The media are waiting for him to leave as are the rags, tarquins, dippers, (insert any city hater) but they may have a little longer to wait..

Beautiful **** can do a monthly contract for me. I really don't care! When the time comes to replace Pep the club will be ready. The memories he has given me, my 2 sons and daughter will override any worries about when and if he leaves.

Now we’ve lost a few games he can fuck off, let’s get Mark Hughes back.

Don't be daft. All he has to do is announce his decision, and Rodri will magically instantly heal, and all the muscles and ligaments in all the other players will suddenly recover. What's the hold-up!

I think the contract situation is actually quite unhealthy for the club. Even if Pep decides to extend for a year it still effectively leaves the club in a form of limbo - particularly in the transfer market where, in recent years, we have been poor in any event. Don't get me wrong. The football served up and the success brought to the club through Pep has been simply breathtaking. But all era's come to an end and Pep's undoubtedly is - be this 2025 or 2026 - clearly if by some miracle he decided to stay another 3-years, there is then no issue at all! In reality through, we are in for a period of transition like it or not, there is no replacing Pep, he is a generational 'one-off' but someone will need to be the next man in charge and its far from obvious who that will be. This, for me, has always been an unaddressed issue. The owners had a very clear vision from the get-go - fully revealed now - for how the club was going to be managed and by whom. But that vision is nearly at an end now with first Taxi and soon Pep leaving and its its less than obvious how we progress from near-perfection to something likely to be less-than that? In the meantime the squad ages and - as we are seeing - finds it harder to maintain fitness and the ridiculous levels of previous years - and needs a fairly substantial rebuild, something made much harder when their is a lack of certainty at the top.

Paragraphs are your friend :)

I just don’t think he will go and leave the team in need of significant surgery and potentially not champions.
Another 2-3 years with his replacement appointed within the coaching set would be satisfactory, but wtf do I know
