Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Pep has only signed a two year deal casting further doubts on his commitment to Manchester City.
In a major Surprise, the state owned club decided to offer Pep a new contract despite failing to retain the Premier League and his inability to control Phillip Foden.
Guardiola has failed to win 64 matches since taking over the reigns and only brought in six major trophies in that time.
No doubt a major factor in deciding to stay was his desire to emulate And overtake Juergen Klopp as the best manager in the Premier League....: and there you go. Saves the press doing it. Just cut and paste you fuckers.

I'm gonna write this without any evidence to back it up apart from seeing him on tv and the odd snippet of news.

I think the death of his Mother had a huge effect on him and at times he's seemed un-interested in football.
Add to this his, and City's, treatment in the media, a lack of recognition for the club and teams efforts and general snidyness about the club and i'm guessing he was having a hard time deciding his next move.
I've already started to see glimpses of the old Pep in the last few games, although his cheeky assassins smile is yet to appear, so i've come to the conclusion that he's got his head straight and is well up for the fight. The signing of this contract seems to say the same.

COME ON CITY.
I think the death of any parent would have an impact on the sibling especially if their was a lot of love and respect and dignity in the household.

Can only see him going on to manage Spain after City.

Spain manager doing a good job so until that frees up then City is the place for him

He has everything he needs at City with the possibility of Messi linking up again

Legacy for both manager & player

Think the press might use that as only the DM are reporting it on my Google news app. Lucky I checked on Citys web site and utd true Pep has signed.

It's literally the main story on BBC Sport. Also the main story on the Independent Sports home page and prominently on the home page of the Guardian and Telegraph Sport.
