PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Fucking soon I hope. I was hopeful we'd win given the news it was winding up early, now I'm not so sure the longer it drags on.
Once news leaked out that it would be a 10 week process and everyone ran with it there was no way on earth the Prem were going to allow for it to wrap up any earlier than that. IMO, they're well prepared to take an L but an early ending would signify that we routed them. Don't anyone for a second think putting as much spin and ambiguity on the verdict as possible is not important to these mutants. You don't have to look any further than the way they handled losing the APT case to us. Don't fret Blue...

Or are they trying to put pressure on the tribunal panel.
Doubt they can be swayed either way, but I imagine if anything it’d be more likely to have the opposite effect. The panel will be well aware of the enormous implications, legally as well as politically, that a guilty verdict would bring. It’s certainly not a decision they can take lightly just to appease certain clubs.

Not concerned by this latest Ziegler re-hash anyway, it changes nothing.

I thought Stefan said that individual clubs couldn't sue others in the league as it was against Premier League rules. The only thing that could happen is the tribunal to award damages. I may be totally wrong there's been about 1000 pages since I read it and may well be totally wrong.

Yes, that’s correct.
Yes - in fairness it is detailed in the article too. Other clubs can either ask the IC for compensation (or the IC can award unilaterally) or go to Rule X arbitration. I doubt only these teams have written to City on this and it is more than a reservation of rights (which wouldn't suffice in all likelihood). Very likely a full standstill has been agreed by City or actual proceedings under Rule X commenced but potentially agreed to be stayed pending the outcome.

legal experts/professionals, deemed to be above/beyond such influence

Hahaha

Fuck off losers.

All well and good that most of us are convinced we will win this case, but what does Omar know? Can't see the rags serving legals if they didn't get the nod from Omar that there was a chance they could win, hopefully it's a load of made up bullshit, but it does seem weird it's the rags considering a few of ours have jumped ship to them

Maybe Omar has been telling tales while rimming plastic Jim? Anything to appear relevant.

Who knows and tbh who cares. We have done nothing wrong, no amount of scare tactics or lies will change facts. The charges were dressed up to have maximum impact and in a way they have succeeded. We only won a treble and 4 in a row -:)

Slow news week so let’s rehash same old shit and stick breaking at the start.

Bunch of shysters.

Why would the club agree to a full standstill? What would happen if they didn't?

As @slbsn has said, most PL clubs will probably have given similar notice. Doubt anything Berrada said would sway United from taking that course of action either way.

Would, potentially, force the other party to commence Rule X proceedings which is costly, a distraction and a pain because it would run in parallel to the case. Hence I think City would have had to accept that other clubs would potentially have claims if there was a finding against them.
