Viana might continue his sporting approach here. Signs the players that have potential to be world class who are young. So I’m thinking the guy from Shakhtar etc. easier to do a rebuild when the price isn’t extreme.
He had to do that at Sporting though, that's their business model.
We need to stop acting like Arsenal under Wenger in his latter years, penny pinching and trying to find the latest next top talents and instead go for some ready made quality in the next few windows.
We need that Premier League player of the year signing like Mahrez or Bundesliga player of the season like De Bruyne to go again.
If we are going to sign young it has to be a Sane who had Champions League experience scoring goals away to Madrid and breaking into a very competitive German national team.
Not the Doku's who had a few breakout moments for Stade Rennes in Ligue 1. We were competing with West Ham to sign Doku, with Sane it was the likes of Bayern Munich etc..

We need to buy in January a DM and RB imo otherwise we risk missing out on the top 4.

So he might get half a chance when the defence is going through a bit of a crisis but otherwise he would be stuck behind Dias, Gvardiol, Stones, Ake and probably Rodri at CB if it really came down to it.Don’t think he would be on the bench with Ake and Stones injury prone bodies.

You could say the same about any young player we sign who’s first choice somewhere else.we also have a bunch of centre backs in their 30s so the next set of defenders will be coming through soon

Livramento (RB), Zubimendi (DM) and Gyokeres or even Toney as attackers who can finish, all needed in January.

We aren't heavily spending in January. Especially with a new DoF arriving in the summer and with us still fighting our cause with the Premier League and our detractors. And it has been mentioned a few times we still have to move players on to facilitate it.

Wirtz as a Kev replacement. Saka, Foden, Haaland and Wirtz is an unbelievable attacking core with plenty of years ahead of them.

Our problems lie with a snail pace midfield and a defence with more leaks than a sieve. Leave the forwards for now and deal with the real problems.

Arsenal won't sell Saka for £120m or even £150m. They certainly wouldn't sell him to us.
Wirtz would probably take a year to settle in and no guarantee of reaching anywhere near KDB levels.
Haaland isn't likely to sray beyond next season. He'll go to Real and be guaranteed the Ballon D'or.
Phil Foden needs to find his edge again. He's gone backwards this season.
As for Liverpool... imo they don't have any obvious 'stars', they're a solid, pacey unit and look to have improved under Slot.
What are the buy back fees on them?Harwood Bellis and Delap on buy backs would be a start.
Midfield seems that Zubimendi is being bandied about. Ricci from Torino could also be a good option.
Porro would have been a good option at RB.

If they were to continue their upward trajectory could be good business. Especially Harwood bellis as there's slots opening for him, delap may want reassurance of game time although he could possibly be an option off the left as gvardiol provides a lot for width and delap could be more of a 2nd strikerDelap's is rumoured to be 20 (i think it's closer to 30).
