The BBC seems to have abandoned moderation of their comments. The website is full of racist comments about Arab money and libellous claims that we have fiddled the books. It is unbelievable even by their standards.

I have given up filing complaints to the BBC about the comments on our articles, I had a couple removed, but most just receive the standard reply of this comment does not break the rules, cunts.

The entire comments section is essentially just a vehicle to fuel hatred. Very few comments have any value. It is impossible to see that this policy can be justified by a public service broadcaster. The complaints service is a sham. Ofcom resolves a tiny fraction of the total complaints it receives. The BBC staff are not accountable to anyone.
