Media discussion - 2024/25

Not sure if its been mentioned, I can't keep up with all the posts on this forum, but there was a segment on the Monday Night Club on 5 Live last night about our academy and the number of players who have come through it that are playing in the PL at the minute.
Followed by an interview with Brian Barry Murphy.

Was pretty good and insightful.

The main take away for me was that they rate Oscar Bobb higher than Palmer

I'm intrigued that I'm seeing and hearing increasing discussion of players playing "too many games" across the media. What is, particularly interesting is that you'd think they'd major on the increasing number of international matches. Not a bit of it, every discussion centres around the club world cup in the summer which "no one is interested in".

I'm not sure how City and Chelsea playing an extra tournament would impact on, say, liverpool, arsenal or the rags given that they haven't qualified and their shills and fans are on the outside, noses pressed against the window, looking in.

Perhaps it has something to do with the £60m we stand to earn.
It’s suspicious that this narrative has been started. The Club WC only affects City and Chelsea and we could make £150m from it. It has no impact on English football at all. The real issue are the absurd number of international games. Masters and his pals are fighting the Club WC. I wonder why.

Will catch that up cheers

I note the BBC are airbrushing City out of articles.
Arteta article about how much he learnt from Pochettino.
Another article with some berk talking about the Big teams having top coaches. He mentioned about 5 clubs, guess who wasn’t mentioned…
Its in plain sight...hate to say it but out MSM are majority right wing racist even down to sports coverage

I've said it before, but we should have a lot more fans and be a lot bigger if it weren't for the media.
We're portrayed as the bad guys of football and have been for a number of years now.

I'm not particularly bothered about being "big", but its just noticeable when talking to young people and their media influenced opinion of us is that we're cheats, all about money, plastic etc

Not entirely true, on top of our current income they'll never catch us.

They are desperate to get it stopped which is strange as it gives them something to talk about, headlines & plenty of traction. So why, what is the motive & who is behind it?
If their beloved aren’t there, why would they want to be when they can be sunning themselves on the beach.
