Club World Cup - Summer 2025

Flown with both and never had an issue though I never need to check in bags and have traveled on my todd so never needed to pay extra to book a seat.

I even once stood my seat down at the gate when asked for a volunteer to do so. Had an extra day in LA, very posh hotel for the night, $24 breakfast voucher and a $500 voucher with Spirit.
Was booked in a regular room at the hotel and the receptionist said “oh a voucher from an airline? We’ll tell them the regular rooms were booked so I’ve put you in an en suite room.”
Bingo!
Nice. That's the way to fly...:)

I am concerned about the players but believe Pep will put a priority on the World Cup. A lot depends on the injury situation. If we win it then Arsenal and Liverpool fans will be gutted. It is an opportunity to become the first English club to win the World Cup and that will be history-making. Your opinion is fair enough but I just believe this will be fantastic. Imagine City v Boca Juniors or Real Madrid in the final. Better than pre-season friendlies anyway.
Scrap the League Cup and reduce the PL to 18 clubs. Potentially 10 games less right there.

Might be our best trophy to go for. Rest players towards the end of the season, give them time off maybe, and go for this?
We need a big overhaul, this tournament will be a disaster for us. The players we are keeping won't get a rest, and the new signings won't get a pre-season to integrate with the rest of the squad. Absolutely fucking perfect.

Just trying to polish a turd.

If it was up to me, I’d tell FIFA that all the senior players were injured and give them the full close season off to recharge their batteries and have some rest before next term.

Send the EDS and beat U18s.

I know it won’t happen, but the entire squad needs a rest and a break from football.

How about just pull out and tell FIFA that the FA cup is more important ;-)

Not being funny, but the majority of our senior players aren't good enough (as in elite) anymore, so we may as well send them
More important is the transfer activity as we really need five top quality additions

FIFA are struggling to get a broadcaster / big money sponsors for it. Currently any club involved will be getting about £500 apiece :)

Don't think the club will walk away from the millions but agree it will affect the following year.

All the criticisms of this competition are the same as those when the European Cup first started. In time the prestige of this competition will become greater and it will be difficult to qualify for so we should try to win it whilst we get the chance in my opinion.

We are allowed to play youngsters in this. No reason why if we are playing a team from Asia or Africa we can't put out a team full of reserves and youth and still win.

Nothing has happened since this meeting. As things stand there is fuck all in it for participating clubs.
