I accept that his time with us is coming to an inevitable end based upon being unable to remain fit.

And I guess that Eccles Blue knows that too although she won't want that day to arrive.

A wonderful and classy player, as is KDB , but they are both unlikely to be playing for us for very much longer.

Hard for Sheila and every one of John's fans to watch knowing what is round the corner .
I do and I acknowledge that his time with us is coming to an end probably. But it was those two remarks that upset me. They were so insulting and derogatory. Sorry. :-)

Maybe he might fancy putting his battered feet up in the sun in Saudi. Would do us a favour of taking his wages on and give us a fee.

He's finished.

We are not getting another defender in the summer and chances are we aren't going to sell all our seniors in one transfer window ffs either. You are going to be very disappointed in thinking that the Summer transfer window is going to be spectacular now Txiki Bergistian is retiring. He doesn't set the budget.

No need to apologize.

I know that the posters don't actually care whether their comments offend or upset other posters, and that is a downside BM inho,

There are lots of posters who because of the way they post and call out players, that I hope are actually rags or dippers or other scrotes who don't give a proverbial f..k, because I don't want them to be City supporters. ( but know that some definitely are sadly )

John is your favourite so you rightly resent poor comments and attitudes. I'm with you on this Sheila.

How will we replace the seven games a year we get from Johnny...

Callum Doyle has more than earnt his chance, he won't cost us anything either.

I have zero expectations for the transfer window, you can read my post history. However, Akanji, Dias and Ake have now all had their injury issues this season, wouldn't surprise me if CB is one of the first signings we make, but equally I wouldn't be surprised if we don't because we want to prioritise other positions.

Everyone knows we have a stockpile of money. Whether we see it or not hinges on the court case. It's not out of the question we spend big if the case goes well and City want to back Pep and Hugo in their first summer.

As it stands, even if we lost Stones, Walker and Gundogan we would be no worse off.

Still an experienced player you can't replace. Especially in one transfer window. Van der Ven isn't great and he too is injury prone.

I wouldn't be surprised if he stays or goes. If it was my decision I would move on, he's given us everything and I think we have been more than fair. Pep has treated him like a son to an extent, many clubs would have sold him years ago. His body can't give us what we need. It's not fair on the squad to be carrying him and when he's fit, he comes back in for a few games and then he's out again.

Wtf has Van Der Ven got to do with anything, i don't rate him at all.

He's always been injury prone but it's getting reminiscent of the last days of Vinny now. Hopefully he has a title winning 30 yarder left in him aswell.

He would stay for me as the defence is the least of our concerns.

Plenty of supporters want him as a target.
