You’re right missing matches is a misleading name, delayed days out might be a less catchy title.

The £20 grand donations is needed for cash flow problems, they could borrow money but nobody would touch them with a barge pole (even the council said after the last emergency £150 grand loan they’d give them no more) whilst their board is being all sanctimonious about other clubs they agreed to increase their playing budget this year by £15 grand to spunk on a journeyman 37 year old striker who’s not setting their league on fire away from his day job sat on his arse watching videos for city. Increasing the football budget when they can’t afford to pay staff was irresponsible & shows how poorly managed they are.

That's what I was hinting at ;-)

The 10/20k is to pay for the monumental fuck ups.
Now fair do's, if their fans are willing to keep getting rinsed without voting out a totally incompetent board, who am I to comment.
But, (I told you there was always a but) if the monumental fuck ups mean the Council don't get their money back, it is, plain and simple, wrong.

Any normal business would ensure that is all taken into account so they ride out the rough times.
More importantly football clubs at National League level and below (baring those with a sugar daddy) take these things into account.
There will be times during the season where you just might need some money in the bank!!!!

Adam Le Fondre works for City?

OK......
So @M40_Sheriff says this
"The council get their payments. They're in every month meeting with the staff. They go over our finances as well. That's why that figure on here is less than a million, when 8 years ago it was over a million"

Yet another Bucketeer on their forum says this
"the council graciously gave us a two year debt repayment holiday"

Who is right? Come on Mr Sheriff - all we want is the truth!

Either way, when a further FOI request is made to the council, if the figure is still 900K then we will know the answer ;)

Mini rag bending the truth about their finances? Colour me shocked!!!

How much have they been given from the council ?

Our theatre group based on Moston Lane have never been given a penny. We were formed in 1919 and have donated our profits to the Lord Mayors fund, over £200k over the years. Our constitution stated we had to donate any profit from a show. Now we are skint and council struggling to help.

If only we had known......

Drew 2-2 away at bottom of the league Blyth Spartans
Well done The Spartans !!!
They have had a really tough time with their recent owner.
Now, they are a Community Club, hopefully they can turn the corner.
For the FSCUM to only draw with a team who are bottom, by a fair amount, shows how much they are in the shite.
Ground sharing with Abbey Hey could soon be an option ?

I don't think Abbey Hey would want to be associated with the freeloading, entitled, bucket shaking, tax dodging, mini me rag tribute act

No doubt Comical Ali will be back in due course to enlighten us about the 2.3 million people in north Manchester who've attended FC United home games and explain how the Council has been repaid 400-fold for the money it's loaned the club. But I'm just staggered by the arrogance of this lot in thinking they can adopt the guise of representing the community where they're based when the only identity they have is stolen from another club.

Most people in the environs who like football will already support either proper United or City, but a lot are no doubt armchair fans or else have been priced out by their clubs. There would definitely seem a scope for picking up this type of fan, who wouldn't ordinarily be conflicted by following a local non-league side along with their other footballing love.

But FC? Every proper United fan I know that didn't flounce off with them in 2005 thinks they're a joke outfit lacking in any moral entitlement to parade a United identity. And by parading that identity, they immediately put off anyone of a Blue persuasion: none of our lot will go near, other than the ultimate handwringing knobhead David Conn, whose take on FC over the last few years, lest it be forgotten, we're still eagerly awaiting.

No one's ever satisfactorily explained to me why the people of Moston should have this pathetic mini-me tribute act foisted on them in the guise of their community club. Does it not occur to the clowns at FC that maybe Moston should be represented by a club that has a Moston identity and can rise or fall on that basis.

I think you are being very harsh on David Conn. it’s only been about 6 years since the original board members were found out for being the charlatans they were.
And just like Merseyside police, in investigating who chucked bottles at the City coach 6 years ago, these things take time (to quote a famous Stretfordian).
I’m sure his exclusive exposure of the dodgy goings on at Pallet Park will be finished very soon and published in the Guardian for all to see.
Keep the faith.

Comical Ali - brilliant!

The money City pay the council for the lease of the Etihad is ring-fenced for sport, I hope that they didn't load the splitters money from this income
