Ok so i think I've seen enough of the 'new' United to figure out that Amorim is going with a defensive 5/7 block and a target man up front. That may prove to work out but will the Rags fans want that kind of football? I mean Mourinho went similar a few years back and apparently that stunk the place out.

Regardless I'll be watching on with a giant bucket of popcorn to hand.

Results. If it brings results they won't give a shite. Initially anyway. Let's face it, the last manager won two trophies and Mourinho won a European trophy, but both got shown the door. They're so far behind us, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea that it's embarrassing given the money spent. Then you add it Villa and the likes of Spurs and Newcastle......it's not looking for them. They need to ship out a lot of shite.

they havnt got a pot to piss in mate, players on contracts are bleeding them dry and now only worth a fraction of the cost they paid, one half decent player these days is what lets say 80 million well they need 11-15 to make a squad, no money from CL next season and all this added on to the debt they have at this current time, im quite convinced they will go under one day and the receivers and bailiffs will be putting the padlocks on the swamp doors

these are desperate for CL next season or there going to take a big hit with the sponsors, there not making top 4 through the table route so the Thursday cup is there best bet, i bet the scruffy one is sorry he didn't leave his money in the bank
I wouldn’t put past uefa to somehow get them that spot let’s not forget utd are the biggest club in the world ………………………well at least in the minds of rag fans some pundits and a few at uefa ..

If being a Big Club means having a big number of bigmouth, attention-seeking grifters from Tampa to Timbuctoo like these clowns, chiselling a living out of sharing their thoughts (for want of a better word) to a grateful world, then I wouldn’t wish us any less Little.

Yes,I realised that after I made my post. Forest have been in the lower divisions for a long time, so they have probably only played at OT a few times in the last 30 years.
But it is still a morale boosting victory for Forest as far as I'm concerned.
And tbf Forest prob had one of the best records at OT back in the day they regularly fucked them up on their own pitch...

December 1977 Utd 0 Forest 4 on their way to the old 1st division title .

Also 1988 fa cup 6th round utd 0 Forest 1 ( same day we lost to Chelsea at home in old 2nd division when both teams eventually went up )
A lot of trouble in town that day 56k at OT, 44k at Maine Rd..Chelsea brought over 10k fans....a proper away unit..

There was another match which stands out too; shortly after Stuart Pearce missed that pen fir Engksnd he got dogs abuse in a league game at OT from their fans. He shut them right up with a brilliant free kick hit with so much venom the Stretford end were stunned
1nil Foresf ....Nigel Clough hit the crossbar with another brilliant free kick 2nd half...also Forest sold Gary birtles to utd for a million quid and he was shit...lol

It's basically the way united have always played, even under the pisscan.

Park the bus, stifle the opposition, then hit them on the break by hoofing it up to the fast lads upfront.

It's a complete myth that united played attractive, expansive, attacking football under Ferguson.
