Mcfc is a club in Manchester that traps people who enter. The clubs is a parallel dimension, pocket universe, purgatory, or hell. The citizens are terrorised by rag creatures from the surrounding forest that come out after a defeat, and they must get everyone fit to find a way out.

Whatever happens we need to be singing Pep’s name from first whistle to last.

He needs our support now more than ever.

The players can do one, for the most part.
Why can the players do one? It’s not legends like Gundo, KDB and Bernie’s fault that they’re past it. Could even add that gobshite Walker to that. If anything it’s poor from the management and execs who have allowed it to get to this.

For a quick fix, take Haaland off and switch to a false nine system. This will tighten the defence, strengthen the midfield, and make the attack less predictable, avoiding the wasted striker slot that's been marked out by every opponent, forcing us to play like we're with 10 men lately.
Don’t see how going round in more circles without the only goal threat we have will help

Too many of our players are falling by the wayside. Some just aren't good enough, most are tired, some seem to lack confidence or belief in themselves. Most are simply 'ghosting' through games.

Pep looks a shadow of the man he was. A man in the midst of the worst period of his whole football career, trying to motivate a squad that appears to have lost the ability to perform in his system, or worse still, their belief in his system.

'Credit in the bank' counts for nothing in the modern game. It's sentimental nonsense. If Pep can't turn this around quickly, it's time for a change.

A win against one of the worst rag teams ever on Sunday would be no more than papering over cracks. A defeat like the FA Cup final would be a disaster.

If the team can't get up for this game, there's no bloody hope for this season. If we lose, I won't be bothered at all to see the back of Pep and most of the squad next season.

This is Manchester. This is OUR CITY. Sentimentality goes out of the window if our players give it up on Sunday.
We MUST win.
Give your head a wobble peps a city legend never forget what he has done for our club.

Spot on. The problem starts at the top. Pep and Txiki have most to answer for. This cliff edge has been staring us in the face for at least 18 months.

Txiki is on his way out, and Pep is left fiddling like Nero as things begin to fall apart.

The Board aren't football people. They're business people who have been more interested in developing money making activities in Manchester.

It’s a good job they’re shit too
Thing is with these vile set of cunts, they've been absolute dog shit for a decade and still beat us when we were at our very best. I'm hoping for some reversed phycology now that we're playing shite. I live in hope, but the way we set out plays right into their shitty little mitts. GOD I FUCKIN HATE EM!!

Thankfully there are supporters who do not share your feelings expressed.

Beating the rags isn't the be all in the great scheme of things, and is reverting to the mentality of when we were bumming around as "everybody's favourite 2nd team"

Too many seem stuck in the " beating the rags " mentality, when there are far more important issues at hand.

We have lost to the cunts before and still rubbed their noses in the shit with better achievements further down the line.

It is a pain having to play this game at this moment in time, but it is what it is.

Hopefully beat them and then get on with the serious issue of building up confidence and performances.

You've been around long enough to know that beating the rags IS the be all and end all for many of us of a certain age.

I don't care what league / division / competition that City are playing in... beating the rags has always been the most important thing in football. Anything else is just a bonus

Rags will sit back get transitions and murdering us on the break with pace. Saying all that I hope we smash the tramps.

Sentiment doesn't win matches. The past is history.

Put up a statue.
I don't think we should be replacing Pep at all just yet. He has earned the right to rebuild the squad. I think everyone accepts that a rebuild needs to take place as there isn't a manager on the planet who could get this squad to win things in its present state. Why would you not entrust the greatest manager the game has ever seen to oversee that rebuild? The manager who is the biggest magnet for top talent?

The tactics and game management have to be right too....and they wernt last night or for much of this season.

Achieving CL next season will be critical to the rebuild......no CL big problems !!

I don't doubt that not qualifying for the CL next season makes things more difficult, but in the last three years, Arsenal, Liverpool, United and Chelsea have all had time out of the CL. This has not prevented them from being able to spend big money.

I think Pep has found it difficult to adapt this season and is not exempt from criticism. But we should stick with him, and trust in his abilities and track record.

United are absolutely shit, but I still don't have a great deal of confidence going into this. Suspect they'll pick us off quite easily on the counter, as many other teams have. Hopefully Akanji will be available, and Kovacic and Foden fit enough to start. Not sure what team we'll put out, but suspect it will be just more of the same in the blind hope that it suddenly clicks. It won't.

Since they last won the league they have beaten us 9 times in 29 attempts (31%). 4 draws (if you count the charity shield this season that we went to win on pens), ironically the other 3 draws were all 0-0!

If you go back to when we were shit (start of the prem to the year we won our first title) we beat them 6 times in 36 attempts (16.6%) 5 draws.

Not surprising as if we're honest they haven't (yet) descended to the level of shitness we were during those years. I say shitness but I personally loved a lot of those seasons.

He has to be more flexible.

If you dont bend you break.

Our tactics, set up and style have been sussed, arnt working and have to change or, new recruits or not, we'll struggle.

A tad harsh that. I think the man deserves a chance to turn things round and hopefully rebuild. Now I do agree that your only as good as your last game and no matter how much credit the man has built up over the years he must at least stabilise things over the next couple of months. A win on Sunday is fairly essential for him to achieve this goal I would think. 2 or 3 more defeats in the next few weeks and it could be all over for Pep.
