TV Series

I'm not a big fan of Pattinson, so that may require a very very dull evening, to earn a viewing, no doubt it will happen though!
I hadn't watched that film for the very same reason. Took the plunge after 2 episodes of The Penguin. Must admit, Pattinson didn't do the film any harm. In fact, he wasn't bad at all.
Gained some insight from the film for the rest of the TV series, but it wasn't mandatory viewing.

I'm the same. I just forward on the pieces she's in. In fact all of the British side of it is more like Eastenders/Cornation Street/Emerdale.

In fact beyond the actual assassin elements the rest is pretty poor.

I don't care about the home life in England or Spain. I don't care about the office politics. I don't like any of the billionaires ... especially the target.

It should have had a bit of humour or a bit of style. It has neither. Only a really cool assassin played by a very cool actor.
That “family life of the spy” angle is such a lazy addition to the story to pad it out from 90 minutes to ten hours. It’s been done loads of times before but it just winds me up. Just tell your kids and partner you work for the government and do a really important job and parents evenings come a distant second. All this “disappointed kid” stuff just adds nothing. I assume the kid gets kidnapped at some point too. If not this season, next.

I know ya. Although to be fair my kids are pretty decent and don't give me shit just cos I'm never around what with all the murdering I do.

Don’t wanna give too much away but it’s absolutely worth sticking with, only another 4 episodes for you anyway, but watch em riveting viewing.
I hope so because it’s a load of crap so far (ep 5), like Eastenders meets James Bond. And now I’ve noticed Lashana Lynch’s eyebrows I can’t concentrate in her scenes.

Not saying it isn't. I'm saying it's not an original concept. It's just brought to TV.

I suppose it depends on what your relationship is with drama like this.

'The Wire' is more my kind of 'understanding' and affinity. Not that I can't relate to 'The Sopranos', it's just the impact is different, personally speaking.

Now you have me thinking!!

For me, I was never into the 'wise guy' scene. I was more like 'Meh!' to see it. Street hustle is the thing I connect to and that's why I like 'The Penguin'.
Sopranos was original, to say otherwise is just fantasy I'm afraid

The Wire is also very good
